In the Paris region, Cambodian workers for the Tassos food company, which plans to eliminate half of its employees, will celebrate the Cambodian New year on the picket line in front of their factory to attract attention on their fate.

The Tassos company, which produces “tamara” [a Greek appetizer consisting of a thick paste made from salted fish roe, onion, and lemon juice, pureed with bread or potato] among other foodstuffs, announced the elimination of 41 positions over a total of 88. On strike for the past month, the workers, the majority of whom are Cambodians, block the production. They have decided to celebrate the Cambodian New Year on Sunday, in front of the factory in Noisy-le-Sec, to attract the media and the public attention on their fate. The boss of the company which is recently placed in receivership, threatened a legal liquidation in case of the continuation of the strike. The climate is becoming more tense because Tassos’ owner, the Amaris Group, also faces difficulties.

Why the fuck you go on strike when the company can't afford to pay you? You dumb fuck khmer. Companies everywhere are having hardship and laying people off, not just your factory in France.
