Judging that Hun Sen defamed her, the Kampot SRP MP plans to bring her case to the court.
The war of words between Hun Sen and Mu Sochua, the SRP MP from Kampot, is far from over. In the morning of Thursday 23 April, Mu Sochua gave a press conference along with her lawyer at the seat of the SRP headquarters. Mu Sochua said: “It is not about the title, whether you are a MP or the prime minister, but as a Khmer woman, I am going to sue Mr. Hun Sen.”
According to Kong Sam Onn, Mu Sochua’s lawyer, the defamation lawsuit against Hun Sen will be based on Article 63 of the UNTAC law. This article does not stipulate any jail time, but the culprit must pay a fine between 1 and 10 million riels ($250 to $2,500).
Flashback in time: During the campaign for the July 2008 election, an incident took place in Kampot, Mu Sochua’s candidacy province. Then, she wanted to take pictures of a car bearing an army license plate that was used in the CPP procession. Such use of an army vehicle is prohibited according to the NEC rule. A person tried to prevent Mu Sochua from taking those pictures and in the altercation, a button from her blouse popped out. Since then, Mu Sochua had complained about her aggressor.
A few weeks ago, during his visit to handicapped veterans in Kampot, Hun Sen alluded to this incident. Without identifying the person involved, Hun Sen who was not even present during the incident, claimed that there was a strong woman in Kampot. He went on to explain that: “She tripped on someone, but she accused him of unbuttoning her blouse.”
Immediately, the SRP MPs signed a petition to appeal to Heng Samrin, the president of the National Assembly, to intervene in this case. The SRP MPs wish to see Hun Sen bringing proof to his claim that Mu Sochua tripped on another person. For now, the SRP MPs have not seen any of the proof they requested yet.

That's an insult to a female MP. The one who looks down on her lacks self-respect and moral. If Hun Sen were to put to challenge with her, I'm sure that Hun Sen will completely lose, because he cannot speak educated language; he gets used to barbaric and rustic laguage from birth. Nothing can change a cocky and arrogant man like Hun Sen.
as a khmer person, i always hate it when some short-sighted leaders are fighting each other without thinking about their reputation, setting up good example as a leader, etc... it begs the questions why these elected people are fighting each other? what kind of characters are they showing to khmer people and the world, really? perhaps all of them should step down or resign for khmer people are so sick and tired to see the leaders are acting childish and not consider the rule of law and so on. go figure! shame on the leaders for calling themselves leaders!

The one who must step down is Hun Sen, not anyone else, because Hun Sen was from the start not elected by the Khmer people. He was installed in power by the Yuons whom he cannot live without their protection.
I just checked google map about Cambodia. Should anyone write a petition to google that they miss spelling Cambodia towns and provinces. It seems like google tries to use the upper letter as the Vietnamese alphabets. Does google try to colonize Cambodia under Vietminh or the Vietminh asks google to do that. Please go to Google and check it out even the word "Phnom Penh" spells wrong as Phnum Penh with assentegue character on top.

Congratulation Mu Sochua for your courage to sue Hun Sen for his idle and malicious speech. Of course, it is not on behalf of MP, Mu Sochua is correctly suing Hun Sen on behalf of all Khmer women and women worldwide.
