In practice, Hun Sen cannot counter sue Mrs Mu Sochoa at all before he must make a defence first. If he can defense his lawsuite, then he can counter sue. The same time he cannot use governmnet lawyer to run for his private mistake at all. Mrs Mu Sochoa didn't sue the government but she has sue Hun Sen personally. The law must be clearly identified. In Cambodia,even if HUN SEN ,trashes,insulted or killed someone,he still can use govt lawyers and still won the case rather easily.The point is,Mr DECHO own the court ,the judges,the assembly,the military,the police,the monks,even the KING, and a lots more.

We are here as activists to lobby everyone to follow good procedure of the court. From here is the NGO organisations in Cambodia to make noise and opposition party and other political parties to make make noise to enforce all politicians at all level to follow court procedure so that the country is not a farm of animals. If everyone make noise, CPP will be embarrassed and will enforce their members to understand the law and the rule of the law.
I understood very well that Hun Sen has owned every National Institutions of Cambodia. I predict that without any change, Cambodia will be a fomer Tibet ( A Slavery society ) where 5% of the citizen will be the masters of other 95% citizen. Yep, it is a losing battle for HS o matter what the outcome will be - he should know not pick a fight with a woman. And puok ah ting maung advisors were trigger happy to rile up their buddies (CPP MPs) to gang up on a minority political person who happens to be a woman. All HS had to do was to say, "regrettably I said some shit that wasn't appropriate, I apologize if you felt you were insulted Madame Mu, now let's move the F..ck on and everyone continues to work..." that would have earned him many, many brownie points. Yes, even it was not a sincere apology, it is the right thing a politician do when you deal with litlle touchy-feely stuffs like this.
I don't think she understands Hun Sen well. It's not about a dollar or two, but it's about "recognition or acceptance". She'd thought to achieve the latter, but she underestimated CPP.
Nobody understimated CPP and their idiotic advisors, their game is always the same - intimidating and ganging up on the less powerful at all costs. This is not new, and it is not underestimating, it is the exact expectation - the raw, brute, unrefined response. It happened before, it is happening now, and it will happen again later as long as the same stooges who have been hanging on to power for several decades are still here - the Khmer saying: "Ah Chhkeh Kantouiy Kawean"

We should be careful about calling for "armed" struggles or armed revolutions. There are too many men in uniform who would be only too happy to thump all the women in the National Assembly and all the opposition deputies as well! Cambodia needs a good, through and through social revolution. The first step is to find ways to arrange changes in the way men treat women.
Abhisit was smarter.
