HUN SEN RESPONDS TO SRP ABOUT ECONOMIC CRISIS
AND THE PRESENCE OF THAKSIN SHINAWATRA IN CAMBODIA

SRP Members of Parliament have recently written to Prime Minister Hun Sen about the Cambodian government's response to the global economic crisis and the possibility of former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra being currently in Cambodia.

In his March 3 letter, Hun Sen confessed he had no well-defined plan to tackle the adverse effects from the global economic crisis but he might follow a piecemeal approach to the issue.

In his March 10 letter, Hun Sen said Thaksin had not been in Cambodia recently. But Thaksin was actually in Cambodia last year and Hun Sen did not specify whether Thaksin would be given an entry visa if he now wants to visit Cambodia.

No one knows how economy works. Even economists just speculate. Look at the US, the Fed doesn't know what the hell it's doing and just trying something and hoping it works. If the US don't even know what it's doing, how is cambodia an exception?
