AS former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra travels around the world, international police are preparing arrest warrants against him, reported The Age.
These moves come after the Thai government revoked his passport, accusing him of inciting the protests that disrupted the Asean summit in Pattaya last weekend and later caused chaos in Bangkok.
He made frequent video and telephone speeches to his supporters as they disrupted the summit and then rampaged through the streets of Bangkok.
On Tuesday, the Thai government issued the latest arrest warrant against Thaksin, accusing him of inciting people to break the law in last week's violence.
The next day, the Nicaraguan government said it issued a passport to Thaksin in January, naming him an 'ambassador on a special mission' to bring investment to the country.
Despite facing corruption charges, Thaksin has travelled to Australia, China, Hong Kong, Dubai and Cambodia in his private jet.
At these locations, he has frequently given interviews that have fuelled the conflict that has bitterly divided Thailand since 2006.
A spokesman for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade told The Age that it 'understands that an arrest warrant has been issued' for Thaksin, but declined to comment on the Thai legal system and political process, or any future requests by Thaksin to visit the country.
But Thaksin may soon not have many places to hide.
Long before Tuesday's warrant, the Thai government asked Interpol to arrest Thaksin once it had found out his whereabouts.
The international police agency has issued a 'red' notice on Thaksin, reported The Nation. The notice is recognised in various countries and serves as a legal basis for his arrest and extradition.
The Thai government is also working towards extraditing Thaksin from China and has begun similar talks with Hong Kong and Dubai, where Thaksin is believed to be hiding.
It may only be a matter of time before he has to return home to face the music himself.

It is good to be King even he broke the law of the land and killed his own brother for the throne, and killed Thai students in 1976.
Thaksin was an official elected Government, but the King supported the Coup D'Etat to oust the elected government based on his popularity among the poor people.
Thaksin was ousted from two reasons:
-King was worried of losing his popularity to Thaksin.
-US was worried of losing Thailand to China.

What wrong with Cambodia.
Mr. Hun Sen or Mr. Sok An are only the Cambodian internal affair. Both were elected and we have to respect our constitution. About their corruption, political activities or what ever will be the business of the Cambodian authority and one day they will able to take care of.
With a Diplomatic Passport Thaksin has Immunity,
NOBODY can arrest him!
If somebody complain he or she should offer another solution.

Corruption is a problem.
Example:
Walkabout Hotel/Bar on Street 51 in Phnom Penh.
There are many Prostitutes there, infected with AIDS or other sickness, drug users.
The Army went there a few weeks ago and told them to step down because you see girls there in public, sexy dress no underwear.
The Australien Owners are lauging about the corrupt police and say they just pay a little bit of money and the police go away.
The security guard in Walkabout has photos of all girls which work in Walkabout because they charge the girls for to enter Walkabout.
Even they know the girl has AIDS they do not care and let her work there.
This is a real shame for Cambodia.
20 meters far there is a school and every day school children have to pass the Walkabout.
I believe that Hun Sen really try to do the best for Cambodia but he should not allow a place like this.
What I am writing is not a secret.
Every Cambodian in Phnom Penh can see what is going on at the Walkabout Hotel.
They just pay the police and can get away. I think this 3 Australian Owners have a high protection from the police.
Hopefully the Government will do something against this place!

I try to explain that if somebody complain about a Government this is okay but the person also should show a solution.
It is interesting to read KI Media but when I read the comments from some people I understand why so many foreigners are looking down to Cambodians.
Always complain about a situation but do nothing to change it.
Compare this to people in other countries! The Thai people are protesting on the streets and willing to die for a better live.
Compare this to the Cambodians in USA!!!
