PHNOM PENH, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen called on police force to be a role model in order to protect the interest of the people, the official Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP)reported on Monday.
"Police force needs to be a role model and right implementer just, sincere and unbiased in order to protect righteous interest of the people and assist people facing difficulties at all time and every where," AKP quoted premier's recent message as saying.
The premier made the message to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the creation of Cambodian national police force which was formed on May 16, 1945.
In his message, the prime minister acknowledged the national police force at all levels for their hard work and sacrifice to bring about national security both inside Cambodian territory and along its border.
Hun Sen also prayed for and deeply thanked to the souls of the fallen police forces and expressed his respect to their children, spouses and parents who had allowed those heroic forces to serve the country and continue to support all government's activities to achieve the present development.
Though Cambodia is now peaceful, he said, all police forces should keep up with the good practice to ensure the country's sustainable and dynamic poverty reduction measure and to bring more physical and emotional peace for Cambodians.

Cambodian are soo cheap. They don't even have proper uniform. Their uniform is like a ragtag cloth. They need to be more professional a little bit. And they need to upgrade their salary so they can't asking money from the people all the time when they stop the people.

I comprehensively agree with Hun SenVarman that all police forces have continuously served the nation in the patriotic way of CPP's mentality, heartlessing robbing the poor and boastfully giving to the rich. Only systmematic corruption will be kept Hun SenVarman's job last forever!
I bet Hun Sen know that his Khmer police agents go to work to rob poors avery day, and it becomes a tradition for the CPP ruling party. They are showing a role model to the youg generations that, if you are with the CPP, you have all kinds of priority and power to do whatever you want. It's so true that Khmer people are switching their political line everyday to join CPP to be able to survive. And that's very dangerous for Cambodia's future.
Hun Sen, all of his families, and cronies have been so far seen as role models: role models of the evils who have committed all kinds of crimes for their personal gains.
Hen sen's talk is cheap. He need to put it atleast on paper. Even if on paper doesn't promises anything.
But talk along is all talk. Hun sen need to put his foot in his mouth and do it.
Hun Sen is make a good comment, but first he need to be clean include then his curruption government and his evil body guard.
Make sure you do and respect your word too.

the way i see it, cambodia needs a lot of reforms in most areas, including police department, etc... a lot of works have to be put in place in order to become a good, civil society again. nobody to blame, really, except for past civil conflict and of course, the stupid KR regime for destroying almost everything cambodia ever stands for. so a lot of works needed to start rebuilding our country and good productive, civil society again. god bless cambodia.

Prime Minister is like a father in any family who is responsible for all needs of each members in a family. When government employees ask for more increase salary in order to compensate the high rate of inflation, Hun Sen said that there is no money to pay. This shows that HS has no ability to make money or He and his cronies have have stolen all state budget?

Dumb, dumb, dumb! The Pol Pot Khmer Rouge is a dfferent case. The Hun Sen is the other case which must be brought up to blame for what he and his cronies have done for 30 years.
Let me rewind history just a little back to 1977:
The smart Yuon leaders clearly know that some Khmer are dumb and easy to be fooled if they are giving power and some personal pleasures, and they will give you their country.
It was the Yuons (not the fools Hun Sen, Heng Samrin, Chea Sim, and Pen Sovann) who had the idea of forming the Liberation Movement. And more, folks already know.
Hun Sen's regime pay police $50 a month how can they feed the family? Hun Sen create a corrupted police force.
Hun Sen, Chea Sim, Heng Samrin and Hor Num Hong are Khmer Rouge. These mother fucker never admit to murder innocent Khmer peoples.
There are about 1.7 million innocent Khmer people got murder by Khmer Rouge.
Hun Sen, Chea Sim, Heng Samrin and Hor Num Hong took no responsibility for the killing of innocent Khmer peoples.
The current Cambodian government is a Khmer Rouge government. Run by Khmer Rouge leaders (Hun Sen, Chea Sim, Heng Samrin and Hor Num Hong).
