Mr. Heng Samrin (pictured), chairman of Cambodian National Assembly, has accused Thailand of arrogantly continuing to violate Khmer territories and reneging on the agreements from the many borders negotiations, reports everyday.com.
During a meeting with Mr. Aijedengu Raswajaya (spelling?), Indonesian Ambassador to Cambodia on Sunday, Mr. Heng Samrin told the Ambassador that Cambodia will strongly and resolutely defend its sovereignty over Preah Vihear, Ta Moan Thom and Ta Moan Toch temples.
However, he said that Cambodia will still continue to maintain friendship with Thailand and respect the United Nations and the Asean Charters. He added that Cambodia will continue to show restraint and seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the spirit of neighbourly co-existence in order to avoid armed conflicts.

It's good to hear that Heng Samrin has talked tough on the border issues with Thailand, but his words must be followed with strong actions on the grounds and in the negotiations. So far Hun Sen has been very soft on the grounds and during the negotiations that's why Thailand walked all over our heads.

We needed more leader like Heng Samrin. Siamese has been bullying Khmer far too long. Apparently, Siamese has no respect for its neighbor. All Siamese Military Weaponry are made in the USA.
I think Khmer should demand more modern military weaponry for compensation because the USA bombed us back to the Stone Age back in 1973.
USA MUST COMPENSATE KHMER.

Make our Militaries strong, make our leaders more competent and one works for the interest of the country. Then, we would lead the country more prosperous for all Khmer citizens, not just an Elite group of Khmer. And so we CAN talk make boader more secure and peaceful for everyone. Use the God given head.
CPP should suspend HUN SEN from being the Cambodian leader. HUN SEN is not having good stance for protecting our borders.

did sign, in 2005, an additional treaties to give Khmer territories to Vietnam. It's an act of violation against 1991's Paris Peace Agreement.
Thailand, as a signatoried country on that international accord, would not have to obey this anymore.

Only talk tough but still no real tough actions on the ground. Tough means take issues to international stage, take issues to UN, courts and on the ground shoot the Thais if they encroached. This is called tough.
