“These electricity agreements have a strategic and long-term significance, indicating a special friendship between our neighbouring countries”, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung told visiting Cambodian Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy Suy Sem.
Speaking at a reception in the capital city of Hanoi on May 26, PM Dung was delighted at the result of the meeting between the Cambodian minister and the Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang.
The Prime Minister said that the two ministries needed to implement and expand agreements made in their meeting in order to boost relations in trade, investment and economic co-operation.
Minister Sem informed PM Dung that Cambodia planned to buy electricity from Vietnam through a 220KW transmission line between the two countries.
He said Cambodia would support and accelerate the implementation of projects signed with the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group to exploit minerals, and with the Electricity of Vietnam to build hydroelectric power plants in Cambodia.

Business with foreign countries is good, as it is an exchange of the opportunity, skills, products, resources and to respond to the free market system. However, my concern is the government is unable to provide legal assistance (includes price ceiling and floor etc), maintain equal opportunity, balance the public sharing/services. More importantly, powerful companies take over all opportunities, then become monopoly or gov-monopoly co.l.td. As we see many companies that are strongly tied with government, or top government officers and those are monopolizing the markets. Resulting that the prices are still not low enough in economic balance of consumers (compare to the income of people in general).

When Lon Nol was in power and Cambodia was at war. And When Pol Pot was in power and Cambodia was at war! So AH HUN SEN claimed that he is the only Cambodian leaders and his Cambodian People Party can bring everlasting peace and stability to Cambodia?
Well,I want to tell AH HUN SEN and the rest of his CPP clans that the reason that Cambodia was at war when King Sihanouk was in power because the Vietcong established their military base called Ho Chi Minh Trail illegally inside Cambodia in violation of Cambodian sovereignty which led to American bombing of Cambodia! When Lon Nol was in power and Cambodia was at war because thLon Nol was trying to root out the Vietcong from establishing their military bases inside Cambodia. When Pol Pot was in power and Cambodia was at war because the Vietcong were annexing Cambodian land and maritime border including Koh Tral and beyond!
So let me turn the table over on you, AH HUN SEN! You fucken Vietcong slave didn't create any war for Cambodia? Since 1979, when you become a Vietcong slave and Cambodia would go through another 10 years of war fighting the between the Cambodian resistance force along Siem-Cambodian border! You Vietcong slave had forgotten already about the Vietcong occupation of Cambodia which you colluded with the Vietcong to prolong Cambodian suffering throughout the 1980 and the 1990!
So I must admire you AH HUN SEN because you have claimed to achieve so much and yet you had done so little in helping Cambodia and even with billion and million of dollars from United Nations and Cambodian progress is still far behind Laos and Vietname and the rest of the world!

as long as youn company don't damage our environment and send their illegal people to come work and live in cambodia, i guess maybe it is ok, just maybe. make sure to hire and train khmer workers, no exception! otherwise, they are not helping cambodia. remember this is cambodia, not vietnam or something, ok!
