You can French on Khmer Krom. But you ought to thank French to the north part of Khmer territory, If French did not fight for khmer territory, Battambang and Siem Riep are Siam not Khmer. French traded for Surin, Trat and other siam province along khmer border.

I know you said that because you suffered a lot in the past. But please understand that Khmer Surin also have been suppressed and mistreated by Thai authority at all the time. They have never become full citizenship or gained full rights as other Thais. So, I think we all are Khmers, we should do something together to show that we are willing and ready to be dignified Khmers again!!!!

For the optimist - Khmer Surin may not get enough fund to set up the URL and paying annual internet disk space yet ... so they got Joomlah sign ... i encourage our khmer surin brothers and sisters to study the khmer language and preserve the khmer culture, tradition, literature, etc... come to do your study in cambodia's universities if you have too, but please never forget your origin even though you now live in thailand. remember it's just a political boundary line that separate us khmer people from each other because think about it, if we blur out the political boundary lines, khmer land is infinite beyond present-day cambodia political boundary. god bless all of our khmer brothers and sisters everywhere. the most important of all is to study how to speak, read and write the khmer language. we cannot forget our mother tongue, although we may speak other languages in addition to our khmer language. god bless khmer surin people.

Did the Khmer Surin kill a lot of us Khmer refugees in the 80's??? Those so-called "Siems" looked exactly like any one of us Khmer refugee folks back in the days. And the Siems killed us Khmer refugee folks without mercy. They thought they were better or something. I don't know. I am just venting, OK. I will support the great cause of the Khmer Surin project. How do I do it again?
