Phnom Penh: In the afternoon of 07 May 2009, judge of the Phnom Penh municipal court examined a swindle case in which the accused claimed that he is Prince Sisowath Duong Chivan Monireak, aka Van. The court hearing was presided by Judge Chey Sovann and it was attended by a large number of public participants. The accused was arrested on 01 October 2008 in Phnom Penh city.

The lawsuit brought by Suon Sun Hab, the plaintiff and a former driver (chauffeur) of the above prince, claimed that on 22 July 2008, the prince swindled him of $2,000, the amount for the down payment to a house purchase in Sihanoukville. The house for sale belonged to the prince and it was put on sale for $40,000. When the victim asked the prince, his boss, to see the house in which he put the down payment for, the prince always told him lies. Therefore, the victim decided to sue the prince at the Phnom Penh municipal court. The accused indicated during the hearing that he is also a victim as well, because the alleged house for sale belonged to Duon Sith, when Suon Sun Hab wanted to buy the house, the prince let Suon Sun Hab borrow $10,000.

Hieng Sopheak, the prosecutor, was puzzled: he said that if the prince spent $10,000 of his own money, and he considers himself as a victim, then Suon Sun Hab, the victim, should not sue the prince like this. Therefore, the prince’s claim made no sense at all.

During the hearing, the accused announced that he is Prince Sisowath Duong Chivan Monirak, and he does not have any identification, but he has a picture that shows that he is a member of the royal family only.

About 6 months after the prince was sent to rest at the PJ (Judicial police) jail, the victim withdrew his lawsuit against the prince.

After listening to both the accused the prosecutor, the judge decided to sentence the prince to 1 year in jail, starting from the day of his arrest.

A source indicated that the prince was not only involved in swindling cases like this one, but he was also involved in breach of trust cases as well.

A source indicated that Prince Sisowath Duong Chivan Monirak is the son of Samdech Sisowath Chivan Monirak, who is currently the No. 1 vice-president of the Cambodian Senate. However, Prince Sisowath Chivan Monirak disowned his son because the latter was involved in several illicit cases against the society, thereby he tarnished the image of the royal family.

To confirm that the accused is really a member of the royal family, DAP-news contacted Prince Sisowath Thomico. He said: “ Samdech Chivan Monirak disowned his son Sisowath Duon Chivan Monirak. Prince Thomico said: “I don’t seem to know that Sisowath Duong Chivan Monirak is the son of Samdech Chivan Monirak. There are some people who lie that they are members of the royal family.”

I tell you a real experience about his royal scumbag. Back in Cambodia, the f*cking royal azz demanded 150 American dollars for his ugly signature for one shitty Cambodian travel document. My extended family was devasted and I had to foot the bill. Can you believe a signature with a price tag of $150? Now you ask why Cambodia does not progress. I tell you something else. This is was from America and he should have compassion toward other Khmer people because he is a royalty, but nooooooooooo the jerk still find ways to leech off the Khmer people. 150 dollars was not that much and the loss can be easily cut, but the way the dude had refused to sign until he got his outrageous fee was so lowly and despicable. I am glad the dude has finally fined and jailed. Good riddance. He probably return to the United States I tell you.

It was not him who act in the Killing Field. Is another man who is familiar to him.

He was not also jailed is another person who use the royal family tittle for his own besiness.

I think, it is not right to post his picture, Sisowath Chivan Monirak in this blog's tittle. Because it is not involving him in this case...

if you said that terrible to the royal family why don't you ask yourself have you done something for Cambodia???? This price had serviced in Khmer Army when he was a young man. And you now just only know Focking Word...

i told you, don't be surprised. it's nothing new since the dark ages to now. that's why only the rule of law will give justice to all khmer people. no one should be allow to be above the law, really, no one. everyone should be penalized like anyone else do did wrong, of course, there must be evidence to indict someone in the court of law. cambodia and all khmer people must not ignore this kind of injustice by anyone. go figure! also, i think the words prince and princess should make into an honorable title by law, and if found doing wrong with the law should be penalized as that is an embarrassment to the titles themselves. i told youi, cambodia needs a tough law to penalize anyone who broke the law or caused injustice to other citizens of the country. thank you and god bless all.

11:07 AM,
Justice in Cambodia applies only to the non-CPP members.
Hok Lundy was assassinated by Hun Sen. There're reasons behind why Hun Sen had to kill Hok Lundy.

How many times have you heard of lightning strike a helicopter?
A helicopter crash should be tail broken and roll over a few times.
Helicopter wreckage in picture show small pieces.
So the helicopter must of been flying at the height of an airplane (10,000 feet) or blown up by a bomb.

According to a helicopter pilot at Sokha Helicopter, shortly after Hok Lundy helicopter crash, the big guys at Sokha Helicopter call all helicopter pilots not to comment at the news media.
Also, the helicopter company sent it's representative to investigate the crash for insurance purposes was turn away by Hun Sen's men.

Hun Sen wanted to end the links with Cambodia Mafia (Hok Lundy). Because the murder always link to Hun Sen. Hun Sen is the boss.

So, Hun Sen order a kill on his favorite men.

This is Hun Sen's politic.

The helicopter belonged to Hun Sen's family members. There're one pilot, one general and an identified woman. The fight may had been started since inside the plane, and Hok Lundy may had tried to fight back but he was trapped alone by three others. His face was cut multiple times may be by razor or a small knife, beause when the villagers heard that plane crashed near by they went to look at it. The three bodies (2 male and one female) were found dead but had no cut, except Hok Lundy where his face was deformed by multiple cut.

Some said: Hun Sen was afraid if Hok Lundy became so good friend with FBI or CIA. Hok Lundy was invited by the FBI to the US and he seemed to be so happy with the US relationship and that could harm Hun Sen for many crimes he has committed.

Hun Sen will kill every body who is on his way. He ordered to kill his late son in law a while back and said his son in law was sick. How can the guy be sick if he was healthy a minute ago then died later after meal?

Just to clarify for all of you...
YES, the man in the picture (Sisowath Chivan Monirak) is the actor in the film "The Killing Fields". NO, he is not the man depicted in this article. In real life, he is one of the most compassionate, honest, loving and caring people you will ever meet. Please do not judge him when you do not know him personally. If you are ever lucky enough to meet and speak to him, you will see for yourself how truly humble he is.

The picture is of Monirak C. Sisowath, not the person who was jailed. That is his alledged son. He was in the films "The Killing Fields" and "The Mission."
He had a social worker type job while living in Long Beach, Ca.
