Khmer and Vietnamese borer officials have met in Phnom Penh on 1st June to work out the agenda for the 10th border talks which will be held in the near future, reports Deum Ampil.
Border officials said that both Cambodia and Vietnam planned to hold talks to begin works on border demarcations and border marker plantings.
Cambodia and Vietnam had on 29th May planted 13 border markers on the Kampot-Kien Giang borders.
Mr. Khuoy Khon Hour, Governor of Kampot province, said: “This event marks a new step in the developments of friendship between the two countries”.
“Also, this event has shown an effort by the two countries in the building of a border for peace, stability and development”, he added.
During the inauguration of the 13 border markers, both sides had also opened two more new border gates for bilateral trades along the 1270 kilometre-long borders between the two countries that needed the installation of 353 border markers.

I am wondering why we don't ever having problem when it comes to border markers with Youn like we do with the Siam? Since CPP feels that they owed too much to Uncle Ho, they probably let the Youn mark whatever they want. God bless Cambodia..

Listening to the world news, we rarely hear the other countries have the border disputes again and again. Only Khmer, Thai, and Yuon have. And the big loser is Khmer side. Why? It's simply because Khmer leaders are not resolutely patriotic. Most of them have servilely knelt dowm to accept the power given by the enemies, kicking aside the national interests; they then become their lackeys. This kind of despicable behavior of Khmer leaders has taken root so deep in Khmer society for many generations. Why? . . .because they are uneducated? NO! It's because blind greed overides patriotism.
It's patriotism that motivates a leader to defend his country and people. Look at the Yuons and Thais as examples. They never lose an inch of their land to us while the Khmer leaders allow them, especially Yuon to chip our land gradually. We have lost so much and keep losing more when our nation has been led by puppetic leaders. This large group of crooks become leeches sucking Khmers'blood until we innocent Khmers become paralized and die at last. . .
Evil Yuons are so tricky. They try to take advantage of the stand-off between Cambodia and Thailand to force Hun Sen government to give concession and sign border agreement on the East.
Why are you falling in the yuons trap Mr. Hun Sen? You're under no obligation to sign anything with teh yuons under teh current climate.
Where are you Hunsenists? What do you have to defend Hun Sen on this issue?
Hun Sen is not falling in Yuons'trap. It is a Hun Sen's concession which has not been completely fullfiled.

I think Vietnam chipped a lot of Cambodian territories with these new border markers. The markers are probably planted deep inside Khmer territories.
