Kampot province parliamentarian Mu Sochua, who is engaged in a reciprocal defamation case against Hun Sen, was summoned to municipal court Wednesday.
The opposition lawmaker filed suit last month claiming statements made by the prime minister during 2008 elections were degrading and defaming. Hun Sen filed a countersuit.
Wednesday’s summons was for questioning related to Hun Sen’s suit.
“If we take responsibility for what we have done, we dare to come,” Mu Sochua told reporters outside the court Wednesday. “I came to the court today because I want to tell the court that Prime Minister Hun Sen insulted my reputation.”
Hun Sen “affected the honor of Khmer women,” she said. “I want Phnom Penh court to summon Prime Minister Hun Sen too.”
Mu Sochua’s summons came as an opposition journalist was also called into court.
Hang Chakra, director of the Khmer Mchas Srok newspaper, was brought in for questioning after he ran stories accusing Council Minister Sok An of involvement in corruption and praising Hun Sen for “destroying” corrupt officials under Sok An.
Sok An is a deputy prime minister and one of the most powerful officials in government. He oversees matters concerning the Khmer Rouge tribunal and oil exploration, among others.

Please opposition party don't do any thing against Khmer and khmer.
So you have to known in the past all the parties never get along with each other and then later on figthing with each other.And who gotting kill just only Khmer people.If someone of Khmer people want Khmer country going down like in the past alot of Khmer people won't let those guys living in the earth.
THe opposition parties are good for Cambodia. Without them, Cambodian CPP member of parliament with use the Parliament for Karaoke lounge already. Rach of CPP members has so many wives. Some of them will take their mistreses to sleep in the parliament for a safe heaven.

Here's my political proposition: have all these arrogant opposition leaders (i.e. Scum Rainsy)removed from politics, and put people -- who have similar ideological views like yourself -- behind bars (preferably Prey Sar), perhaps shoot them in the heads if it deems appropriate.

I myself do not want to hear this kind of lawsuit at all, but it is already happen. We have seen PM and his team always use court to suppress critics. So in this case, i have nothing else to add just to encourage Mme Mu Sochua and wish her well.
PPU you are talking seem so rudely, as you written i can imagine that you are a murder.All people have only one life,so should be lives in peace and respect each other.Don't be strong and murder only with our Khmer people.

Cambodia is a heaven for murderers, I think everyone know that. Three millions were killed from April 17, 1975 until January 7, 1979 according textbooks from People Republic of Cambodia period, and 1.7 millions according to recent estimation. Base on these figures, there should be thousands of murderers who still live freely in Cambodia.
Many high profile murders since 1999 haven't solved yet, like the case of Piseth Pilika, Chea Vichea to name a few.
To contain the popularity of SRP, CPP have killed many SRP activists since 1995, and now court, government position and money are alternative ways to destroy SRP.

1- more then 100 persons were killed or wounded on 30 March 1997
2- many activists were killed before elections in 1998, 2002, 2003.
It is not "hearsay" evidence, but they had been really killed. But as they are not so well known by the media. They were just forgotten when time passed.
Only during elections in 2007 and 2008 the we saw less activists were killed.
i support the lady. she is brave. i hope from now on those high ranking officials would think twice before they open their mouth. i can not believe the prime minister of cambodia would give such a speech. everytime i listen to anyone of them give speech i think they need to go back to school. they are so empty in all area of knowlegde.
if Mu sohua leads the county people of cambodia would have better life. she seems to have more education.

Hi guy, Khmer have been fighting for many years. Bravo Bravo!!! Nowadays, Khmer still fight, curse and insult each other. If you all very skillful in killing & braving like you have been saying, why don’t you all blast out your rages, and hatred to our neighbor (SIEM) that trying to wolf down our lands instead of fighting with your countryman’s.

These criminals can change their position when opportunity open to them.
