i think the recent gov't move to strip the opposition lawmakers (two of them to speak) is a good sign that perhaps cambodia is beginning to wake up and smell the fresh coffee and see the world. for too long already, the lack of repercussion like the stripping of this "legal shield" is like a reform cambodia long waited for because for too long already in our khmer history, there seemed to be endless immunity for top official such as lawmakers, etc to get away from lawsuit etc due to what seemed like a double standard for those officials who did wrong against the law. so, this is perhaps, unprecedented in khmer history that such stripping of legal shield is a blessing in disguise, actually. cambodia and our people deserve better. it was past over due, and it is now the time to reform and restructure our outdated and ineffective gov't system that's not working in the past. so, stop crying democracy or whatever, it is actually a blessing in disguise do so, finally. think about it. god bless cambodia.
yes, it goes to say that nobody is above the law; even lawmakers who broke the law is also fined and penalized as well. everything has gotten to start somewhere, somehow!
The cpp' democratic laws are upside-down, backwarded, swing to communist hanoi. The democracy in cambodia is like elvis the king of rock and rolls. So when hun sen is dead, we khmer will make believe is still alive?
perhaps it's strange because cambodia is culturally different from where you live overseas. however, that strangeness is a norm in cambodia. have you ever thought about that? have some respect for others who may be different from you. nobody is putting a gun to your head and force you to do something you don't want to do; it's has more to do with the law or the right thing to do, here! if you don't take time to understand the difference, you will never be happy nor satisfy in your own life, really! that's why the vote has to be majority, not the few. no few votes can win in a democratic election, you know!
nobody is silencing you, it's your karma that comes back to bite you from behind; so, it's better to change your way, really! and stop blaming others for your own mishaps, etc...
You CPP(ers) Viet's slaves are all hopeless and never realize how the Viet hobnobs with and kisses the outside world's ass while holding one foot on you CPP(ers)'s head down on to the ground to take shit on it. And you CPP(ers) call yourselves KHMER?
