Khmer Krom lost is about 50 years ago, And Sihanouk is still in power and worship Ho Chi Minh. If he claim it back than, it would belong to Khmer already. The lost of Cambodian territories had always been the results of stupid Cambodian kings allowing the Viets to come into the country and colonize the lands in return for military protection when fighting another Khmer lord. Dumb ass kings don't realize when the Viet warriors come into your country, they never return back to Vietnam. The same happened in 1978-1979 and through out the 1980's as a result of Hun Sen & CPP (KPRP) policies and collaboration with Vietnam. Hun Sen is just as bad and perhaps even worse than those kings of the past.

Honestly, I don't hate the Thai or the Vietnamese. The Thai and Vietnamese had always been better than us Cambodians when it came to unity, solidarity and the grand interest of strengthening a nation. Us Cambodians failed in this respect. Our leaders had always been arrogant, delusional, greedy, ignorant and very short sighted. For us Cambodians, it's always been about being jealous of one another and trying to take that power and prestige from the other person. And when we fail, we end up asking our neighbors for help not knowing that there are repercussions. Our leaders are still perpetuating this cycle over and over every day. Take a look at how far Vietnam and Thailand have advanced over the centuries and especially the last two decades for Thailand and the last decade for Vietnam. Then take a look at us. Cambodia used to be at the heart of an empire with a population much larger than the Viets of the Red Delta and the Nanchai Tai of southern China/northern Thailand many hundred years ago. What went wrong? We can only blame ourselves. Look at us today. Pretty pathetic huh? Cambodians are so god damn ignorant, greedy and short-sighted. I would love to see Cambodia persist for at least another 100 years, but at the rate of how our leaders behave and the how people don't care, we don't deserve to have a country.

Can't you read all my postings, I have alway promoted unity and harmony. But to archieve this unity and harmony, we need social justice and social development. we must protect people interest first. Can we have unity as at present when all closed friend to Hun sen have each 10,000 ha of land stolen from other by force in dailight? I say NO NO NO.
We have only have unity only if we have good laws to protect people interest and each citizen shouldn't have more than 50ha of land.
The government must resposible;
1-Good public security; that means no more robber, no more land grab, no more dailight killings etc..
2-Adequated healthcare system for all citizen
3-Liveable salary so that all public servants do not need to worry their end need each month.
4-All Soldiers and their army chefs should stay in baraks and are not working for individuals.
5-All police should be equal and be commaded by a call centre example 111 or 999. THe whole police department should be worked under one CEO. THe CEO can receive information but cannot command the police force at all. All police should station in a police station around the country and commande by call centre. That way we can clean up bad police and bad politician.
6-Collection of all revenue for the state.
7-The government shouldn't intefere with all business transaction at all.
8-the governmnt should interfere with local government.
During my generation, our people were more nationalism and were more honest. We were proud to be Cambodian citizen.

After we got Independant from the French authority d'outre mer, Cambodia had only 3
High schools, 1 in Phnom Penh 1 in Battambang and the last one in Kampong Cham. Therefore the Khmer government used a lot of time to build our country and did not have time to think about another war with Vietnam.

Hey you guy, maybe it is more productive if we are thinking more positive than negative. Here are some facts and more realistic views:
- All leaders want to be a hero and famous. It is easier to blame the leader after the fact. You can not blame the leader's decision when you don't know all the fact at the time. The leaders take action base on the hand that they are dealing with, compare to Poker game. For Example, The North Viet. army did not need Sihanouk permission to enter Cambodia territory. If you were him, what would you do ? send cambodia army to stop them ? or act like you let them come in so you can show to your people that you are in control of the country.
- French did whatever they wanted as long as it benefits them. When you are weak you have no position to have any affect on decision. If you remember when the Viet invaded cambodia in 1979, Cambodia leader was Penn Sovann, not Heng Samrin, Do you know what's happenned to him ? He turned his back on Vietnam too soon. So,he ended up in jail in Hanoi. He did not play his card correctly.
- I realy belief in my heart that all Cambodia leaders love Kmere very much, but some time when they take action it look like they don't because there are some thing else that effect their decision.
Yup, these people should learn how to deal with their "automatic negative thoughts" so they don't cloud their judgment.

Most of new generation like myself agree with you 100%.
When I was teen I listened all the stories and many claimed to know everything, just because they saw what was happening in Cambodia. Some but most of them are now Father, Mothers and grandparents going online cursing like children.
When asked where's the documents, then they started to insult us and said we are CPP's kids.
I am telling you that until these old folks learn how to search and read where are facts, don't dream they'd understand.
Ignorant people like I was there'r enothing besides going online cursing, but now I can see some of hidden documents

I feel so sorry for million and million innocence people who died in the wars not just my Khmers.
I believed King Sihanouk and all the Khmer leaders did try all their best to save Cambodia from Communist, but Cambodia is so weak and small and she's threatned by powerful nations. Based on this King Sihanouk first wanted to join the US, but then he may have decided to let Lon Nol did that part, and he was willing to take all the blames just to save his country after China threatned to castigate Cambodia.

I think the killing in Cambodia brought by both China, Soviet and then Vietnam. If Cambodia joined the US, China and Soviet would use Vietnamese to kill Cambodia.
Interestingly enough, June 4th also the concurrence of Thursday commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square protests. How interesting! Yet, I'm relatively unenthralled, because everyone still does not understand and acknowledge that Khmer Krom is part of Vietnam.
