In response to the threat issued by CPP Nguon Nhel, the first vice-president of the National Assembly (NA) who wants to dock portion of the SRP and HRP MPs’ salary for boycotting the NA session of 29 May 2009, SRP MP and spokesman Yim Sovann said that his party is not worried and is not paying attention to this threat. Yim Sovann claimed that SRP MPs do not consider their personal interest as the prime factor, quite to the contrary, the SRP is concerned about the interest and the suffering of the constituents. Therefore, if the CPP talks about docking SRP MPs’ salary, it is a regrettable situation. On Friday of last week, a group of SRP and HRP MPs walked out the NA session because their request for change in the draft law on Disability was not submitted bu Heng Samrin, the NA president, for review by all MPs.
