Cambodia on Tuesday has celebrated the first anniversary of the inscription of Preah Vihear temple in spectacular style.
The authority has ordered all government ministries' buildings, schools and public parks to fly the national flag as a sign of celebration.
In Phnom Penh, school children came out of their classrooms to wave the national flags, while Buddhist monks in many pagodas came out to beat drums exactly at 11 am in the morning.
At Preah Vihear temple, the authority held a ceremony to release pigeons as a sign of peace. Pictures of colourful rituals and artistic performances glow the temple compound.
