I lived no far from Om Guechse, and he is a cousin of Om Yuko.
Easy on him guys. He and his generation are very narrow minded people and are easily to be manipulated and brainwashed by Vietnamese spies like Ly Ngoc Dinh/Diep/Yiep.

I agree that the King is doing the right thing for the sake of Cambodia and our people.
Sihanouk was chosen and crowned as King of Kampuhcea by French.
He was a playboy with a good military education in France.
He often showed indecisive ruler, who seemed to enjoy more than his state affair while his historic enemy Vietnamese were roaming in his country. But the facts have been shown that he knew. He is a charismatic performer and dogged survivor left his enemy to figure out what his next move.
I think Sihanouk's strategies depended heavily on his closest country men of trusted like Lon Nol and Khiev Samphan; then China and North Korea as his advisers after Camboda was reprimented by China for flirting with the US.
Historians tend to be not cautious in this matter, so why does anyone expect his people to understand?

Cambodia met great disasters (War,Killing Field, illegal vietnamese immigrants, the lost of natural resources,...), were caused by Sihanouk.

The King didn't have to allow Viet Cong or Viet Minh to use the route to supply the Viet troops, the Viet Cong or Viet Minhs were already in Cambodia. They can enter as they pleased. The Viet Cong or Viet Minh can enter Cambodia any time before and after French were defeated. The Vietnamese have never left Cambodia. Who saw that the Vietnamese left or who made them leave after French left Cambodia?
How many Khmer troops Cambodia had to protect the border after Khmers just got up from slaveries of Thailand, Vietnam and France?
You said in cold war if King Sihanouk went with US it will be OK, and how do you know the King and his country men didn't commit within that strategy? We don't believe the King drafted the strategies to save his nation alone.
Did you read China reprimented (threatned) Cambodia for flirting with the US? Do you believe the US would die for Khmers instead of their allies Thailand since 1783 and S. Korea? Do you ?
If you read cold war then why did you miss reading that "Stalin" instructed Ho Chi Minh to take Cambodia and Laos at all cost?
With those billion of US dollars to Ho Chi Minh, and with China and Soviet behind to help Vietnam, are you sure that Vietnamese cannot destroy Cambodia when they already knew ways in Cambodia like their hands? No, Joself Stalin was suspecious of Ho Chi Minh and he did not trust Ho Chi Minh though he gave billion dollars to Ho Chi Minh to take Cambodia and Laos. Stalin instructed the Chinese Communist to play major role in taking Laos and Cambodia. Read Cambridge University Press (2005).
Stalin saw French was cheated by the Vietnamese, so he instrcuted China.

Only two people everybody knew they are real true scholars in KI, and they are Dr. Lao Mong Hay and Dr. Gafa Peang, and these two have never bragged about themselevs they are scholars, their educations and their maessages told us.
Om Guechse can be considered as a scholar but he is not, because has never contributed the society his noble ideolgy how to guide us youngs to be succesful people for the future Cambodia, he has only fallen into a dream of hatred and defeated.
With his PhD in litterature, why cannot he explore his knowledge and gain wisdom instead of allowing his emotion to control him, and all he posted are nothing more than hatred, blamed and stupid revenge. How can we trust him if he and his group have not yet demonstrated us he can sketch a diagram or strategy to win the battle against the enemy. I think that what he mentioned about himself just want to stress the comment that he is one of the Cambodian victims who suffered by the leader.
I really admire and appreciate him that can use talent intelligence to make the comment more sense and meaningful.
