Deputy premier: Both parties must reduce tensions at Thai-Cambodian border

BANGKOK, July 2 (TNA) - Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban on Thursday urged every concerned party to help reduce tensions at the ancient Preah Vihear temple on the Thai-Cambodian border.

Mr. Suthep, who visited the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh and held talks with Prime Minister Hun Sen last Saturday, said senior military officers of the two countries would have to find solution on troop reductions at the temple as well as how many troops from each side would be reduced.

"In my opinion, there is no tension at the Thai-Cambodian border," he said, adding that he would again travel to Cambodia this Saturday to jointly preside over the opening ceremony of a highway, financed by the Thai government.

He said he would meet Premier Hun Sen again at the ceremony.

During discussions with Mr. Hun Sen on Saturday (June 27), Mr. Suthep said he and the Cambodian government leader agreed that boundary experts of both countries should hold talks to settle the problem and the two countries should expand cooperation for the benefit of people of the two nations.

Hun Sen should not be taking the Thai assistance for granted too much. Thai soft speaking in front of you but behind you they will encroach more into Khmer's land.

Watch out!!

Don't just talk from increase to reduce, from reduce to increase forces, just setup the military position and fight.

To see who has the most advantage between the US master and Hanoi Master?

Let's set this game on the betting board and let's everyone bet...

I Bet 50,000 US dollars "Thai will open fight on Cambodian side first" and possible invasion to conquer cambodia to replace Cambodia from Hanoi's influence to Bangcock's new ruler.

What they say is opposite what they do.

They (Thai leaders) are equal a street mad dogs. Therefore, do not care what they say, but must be careful what they act.
