Mrs. Mu Sochua, who went on a visit to the United States immediately after her parliamentary immunity was lifted on 22nd June, has arrived back at Phnom Penh Airport at 9 pm on Saturday 4th July.
Mrs. Mu Sochua, who is an MP for Kampot and Deputy Secretary-General of the opposition Sam Rainsy Party, left for the United States on the night of 22nd June, a few hours after her immunity was lifted following a defamation lawsuit lodged against her by Prime Minister Hun Sen.
When exiting the airport door on her return, she refused to give an interview to a journalist from the Cambodian Television Network (CTN) by claiming that the station is biased toward the government. She said: "I will not give an interview to CTN because it is biased and which has never broadcast independent news, but was always broadcasting information that is biased toward the ruling party."
Mrs. Mu Sochua has been summoned to appear before the Phnom Penh Court on 24th July, but said she will "walk into jail" if the court will send her to jail.
Mr. Kong Sam Onn, her lawyer, has sent a letter of apology to Mr. Hun Sen and now joined Mr. Hun Sen's ruling Cambodian People's Party.

It does not make sense to me. If it is biased, why didn't she just defend her case? I dodn't think they can change her voice. She should have her team shoot her too. If they change the voice, she can file a complaint by showing the film her team shoot.

Why all of us have to interfere or made a decision about Mrs. Mu Sokhua affair. It is also not the responsible of the King of Cambodia or better to say, the President of US.

She can film by herself but they won't screen it on their TV, or she can say whatever she wants but they will not show what she wanted them to show. They will edit the film, cut the voice and make all the negative comments.
CTN is privately owned but Kith Meng, the owner of Royal Group and ANZ Royal bank. His bisinesses thrived by supporting the CPP. If he did something Hun Sen doesn't like, Kith Meng's businesses are finished.
