The Puea Thai Party on Monday repeated its call for the government to remove Kasit Piromya from the foreign affairs portfolio.
Puea Thai spokesman Prompong Nopparit submitted a letter to Abhisit Vejjajiva at Government House asking the prime minister to strictly observe two PM's Office regulations regarding the conduct of political office holders - one issued by the Chuan Leekpai government in 2000 and the other by the Samak Sundaravej government in 2008.
The letter said Mr Abhisit was duty-bound to enforce the two regulations and remove Mr Kasit from office since he had been charged with criminal offences, including terrorism, in connection with the blockade of Suvarnabhumi airport by the People's Alliance for Democracy late last year.
If not, he could be charged with neglect of duty under Article 157 of the Criminal Code.
