King Norodom Sihamoni issued an official decree this month to retire 27 judges and prosecutors in the national court system.
The royal decree, dated Aug. 4 and obtained by VOA Khmer Monday, follows a request from the Ministry of Justice to the Supreme Council of Magistracy, which met July 29, to retire 43 different court officials.
Some of the officials to be retired welcomed the decision, which is meant to help the government reform the court system, but others said the decision was unlawful.
A second decree demoted two chief prosecutors, to positions of deputy chief, following findings of wrongdoings, namely Kong Seth, from Kampong Speu provincial court, and Lin Seang, from Stung Treng provincial court.

Those couple olfarts like: Heng SomRe, Chea Shit, KanChase Khieu Kanhrith drunkard shoud fucken retire or retard...Cambodia got too many students that obtain high degree, Phd, Master, etc.. these people needed to get their foots in the door....

I have been told by leading Khmer attorneys that at least as of the late 90s, 80% of the judges had no legal training. I think that most of the older judges may fall into this category, so replacing retiring judges with those that have graduated from law school at the National University (as opposed to "Lawyers Training School-a shorter version set up to create lawyers due to the kR period where judges where killed or fled- would allow for new better educated jurists.

I have alway been opposed CPP party. But we must learn how to differentiate between politician and public servants.
1-Politician can stay as long as they can be elected.
2-Public servant must have a limited age for retirement.

Please do not use this kind of words in this blog. We must be more polite to every body. We should respect our country constitution, our King, our former King and Queen, our Senate Chairman, our National Assembly Chairman, our Prime Minister, other leaders as well as other Cambodians of all stratas.
People can learn a lot from our blog by sharing ideas, opinions and other historic documents. We have our neighbour which want to disturb our development that they do not want to exist in our Angkor Land.
Some people want to see Cambodia becomes in bad situation like in the years 1970's. We are developing a lot more that somebody
do not want that happens in Cambodia. We must be united against the outside interference.
