You see the characteristic and public speech, Hun Sen and Duch have shared close similarity such as: very eloquently, straight forwards, powerfully and commandingly.Op-Ed: Cambodian Brighter Future
This picture illustrates some aspects of Cambodian leaders' characteristic and quality: while they are having power, they can make every one laugh with a goosebumps and scary tone, but when they are powerless they can accept guilty and accept to death by stoning.
Hun Sen and Duch have become good case study for this astonishing thought of ours. When Hun Sen lost election for Funcipec in 1993, he was very humble and very pitiful, but when he can consolidate the power like nowadays, he can use every game he want to play: via through his court (sue me and countersue you), or through military (I can sweep you out from Phnom Penh in 2 hours). In contrast, Duch confess his guilty and accept to death by stoning.
But we don't know how will Hun Sen change his ruthless characteristic? Next 5 years, 10 years, or he will be in the situation like Duch, or after his life ended?
You see the characteristic and public speech, Hun Sen and Duch have shared close similarity such as: very eloquently, straight forwards, powerfully and commandingly.
As the outcome, we can conclude that these two leaders are very good in taming his own Cambodian people in expressing both cruelty and confession.
Question and quiz for younger Cambodian like me and others: we want to know how many more Cambodian leaders who have shared this characteristics?
When these groups of leader will be retired or died, and younger generation of Cambodia like me and others can take turn to refurbish or change this ruthless characteristics?
Please, help me answer this question!

How can we call Cambodia has peace when a leader of this country is talking like this?
What a load of rubbish.
Hun Sen was very humble and pitiful when he lost the 1993 elections? You must be joking. He would have done a coup d'etat, had he not been made the second prime minister. Remember that?
Kuoy Pichet
What if another kind of leaders call his opponents all traitors? I think SR is a well educated and respected person, but some of his public speech didn't really prove that, at least to the Khmer intellectual communities.
Hun Sen joint the military when he was 13 or 15. No wonder the only words he knew was commanding, killing and staying in power. But, he is still better than a French educated professor who turned his party from the winner to the worse loser in history ...
I keep saying that SRP needs to replace it leaders with the young able generations who could use better expression to attack the rulers.
KP,
I saw Hun Sen and his wife frequently went to worship K. Sihanouk for second PM post.
So, he was so humble I think while he lost...
6:74pm
I think you believe that from the media in Cambodia which are overwhelmingly pro cpp and comdenm SRP.
Yes, I do agree: Hun Sen and Duch has the same way of speaking...very interesting...
And screw ah bloody ass Kuoy Pichet @6:46 PM!!!
Very interesting perpective, KY. The most interesting was the whimpering of Hun Sen. I really am disappointed in the royal family...Do you know how many people have died to put Ranaridh in that situation? Only to see him squandered it away....
many people here use the similar language hun sen uses. it doesn't make much sense to criticize other with such language.
I really do not know about the other tree's qualities, but I certainly know about the qualities of the first one on the top left:
1-as one of the absolute KR? Yes, he is. he left an elementary school to join the KR movement in 1967.
2-His old brains had been completely washed and implanted with a new brutal, savage, atrocious, haughty and cocky, arrogant ones. His new brains have motivated him to enjoy killing or harming those who do not agree with him: the political opponents or the weak.
3-was he the one who initiated the idea of toppling the KR? Absolutely not, not at all. He has no brains containing patriotism. It was Yuons who initiated the idea of launching the invasion which they disguised it as the liberation of Khmer suffering people.
4-Then were the Hun Sen group deserve merit as the liberators? Yes from the fools who can see only the shallow surface of the fact. NO from the decent who can perceive the depth of the fact. . . .
correction: tree's=three's
My beloved 10:06PM!
I unashamedly agree with ye that Samdech Hun SenVarman ain't godly patriotism as almost entire Khmer unquestionally thought.
Perhaps, a few years ago, when Samdech Hun SenVarman mockeringly attacked Pen Sovann in public that he ain't knew anything. Therefore, Pen Sovann initially asked any TV station to give the premission for only a hour, he would simply tell and show the world who is really Hun Sen? According to my insignificent knowledge, Hun Sen was captured and thrown in Youn's jail almost in the end of 1977, Pen Sovann was da one who saved his monkey's ass!
I am 22, and I'll be graduated this Fall 2009. I think you are in older generation cathegory than mine.
With your older mentality how come don't you know Cambodia has high illiteracy rate? If 90% are not educated and 10% are, so why do have a high hope to overthrow them? A way to become civilized people and be freed from the mob mentality like Hun Sen does is to advocate for a good education.
I replied to Mr. KY and my post is 11:40 Pm

The uncompromising love to others
The wisdom in solving the problem
The patience and good attitude during difficult time
The respect to others, both the lowly and great
The kindness and meekness
The leading by example more than by orders

The diligent followers behind him/her
Where and what degree will you be graduated with 11:40 PM? It's a bit hard to understand your English here...elaborate for me please? BTW I am not KY..just a passer-by.
In compared to CPP-leaders, Hun Sen speech is always terrible and make people fear. Why?
He has full power in his hand. With this power he can punish somebody who are against him by using lawsuit. The real power is not come from Cambodia, but VN. That is his power. The real Khmer has never attitute like this.
