Following the publication in Prey Nokor News Vol. 82 of its editorial titled “The Destiny of the Indigenous Khmer-Krom People” and the subsequent English translation publication by the KI Media blog, some opinions have posted on KI-Media that Prey Nokor News creates disunion among the Cambodian community.

In response to the above opinions, Prey Nokor News would like to inform our readers that:

Prey Nokor News is a news network publishing information about Kampuchea Krom and the Khmer Krom people, the indigenous people of Kampuchea Krom who are currently living as expatriates all over the world.

The goal of Prey Nokor News is to disseminate information on the livelihood, the national identity, the culture and customs of the indigenous Khmer Krom people living in Kampuchea Krom and around the world, in particular we are providing information about the human rights violations perpetrated by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV) on our indigenous Khmer Krom people currently living in Kampuchea Krom.

Prey Nokor News thrives to publish news taking place in Kampuchea Krom to inform all Khmer people in the world, as well as informing about the peaceful struggle led by the Khmer Kampuchea-Krom Federation (KKF) on the international scene on behalf of the Khmer Krom people who are currently living on our lands so that they are informed of the situation.

Prey Nokor News provides a reflection to the SRV about the Khmer Krom community which is currently living under its colonial yoke. We are also pushing this communist regime to change its attitude and respect the basic human rights of Khmer Krom people, the original owner of the land.

Prey Nokor News is a news media that provides truthful information that protects our national interest with clear proofs, we are not serving any political party nor are we trying to create disunion among the Khmer society. We are opposed to the authoritarian communist Vietnamese regime and to injustice.

Members of the Prey Nokor News are Khmer Krom human rights activists who are residing both in Kampuchea Krom and overseas. We demand Theravada Buddhism practice freedom, democracy and cultural identity for the indigenous Khmer Krom people who are currently living in Kampuchea Krom under the colonial yoke of the SRV. Members of the Prey Nokor News serve as observation eyes to the political activities perpetrated by the Vietnamese regime against Khmer Krom people.
