KING Father Norodom Sihanouk remains in good health despite a recent declaration that he will cease publishing messages on his personal Web site, palace sources said.
"The health of King Father and Queen Mother is good, but the King Father feels very tired as he is busy with myriad programmes and activities," said Prince Sisowath Thomico, an adviser to King Norodom Sihamoni.
In a press statement released on Saturday in Siem Reap, where he is currently residing, Sihanouk said said he is ageing both physically and mentally, and no longer has the energy to fulfil his full round of personal duties.
"The reason is because my poor health and the loss of my intellectual faculties," the 86-year-old King said.
Sihanouk and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath returned to Cambodia on July 8.

cambodia should have les majeste law like in thailand. however, the royal family should stay out of politics, though, because politics don't matter if royal or not, that's why it's good idea to stay neutral from taking part in politics. this is crucial. althought some may argue that royal member has rights to go politics, too, however, keep in mind too that politics is dirty and nasty, don't politics is incompatible with royal member, that's all. as a royal member, i think.
i think it some royal member chose politics as their rights, then they may lose that royal privilege, you know. it's hard to do the right thing when you are dealing with royalty; it's called conflicting and interfere with doing the job. bad include, immunity, favoritism, nepotism, fraternization, and even corruption, etc, etc..., you name it; not good for the country, really

i think royalty represent very very old culture and old ways from ancient time. you know in japan, which is the world longest line of dynasty and throne, they maintain very old way through the emperial royal family or line, but japan is also very modern country as well. how did they do it? please learn from japan. japan shows that you can have it both ways. thank you.
