TV3 News (New Zealand)

Trans-Atlantic rower Rob Hamill is about to head to Cambodia to testify against the Khmer Rouge prison boss accused of torturing and murdering his brother.

Kerry Hamill was 27 when his yacht strayed into Cambodian waters back in the late 1970s.

A fellow crewman was shot dead while he and a passenger ended up at the notorious Tuol Sleng prison, where both were tortured and murdered.

Mr Hamill has been furiously collecting evidence since he found out he could testify about his brother's killing.

He will testify before the tribunal next week.

In 1975, if people crossed the US-Mexican border without documents, they were also killed by the US border patrols.

Even if it's legitimate to kill this guy's brother, the testimony from him and his evidence of other thousands of murder is still useful and valid.

AKM KM, A thought- zenophobic; fear and mistrust of outsiders.
Not all are after you for something.
Is it your fear of angry KR doing again to your fellow Cambodians what they did in the '70's?
There is no acceptable reason to support the murderous Pol Pot, Noun, Duch, Ta Mok, Ieng Sary, etc.
They ordered torturous deaths of many innocents from greed. That they tried to hide the acts tells of their greedy lying ways. Let your fear go and let justice come those who deserve it. They acted like fools with lots of tricks.
Instructed to act like pirates off Somalia today, the patrol boats were made to be tools of death, not protection and assistance. I cannot begin to feel the horror of your country in that struggle, yet, my brother, too, was pirated, tortured, and killed in S-21. They tried to hide it and burned them under tires. They could not hide it. It was evil. Come from peace and helpfulness if you can AKM. You may find more happiness in that.
