The Vietnamese Authority Threatens Using Armed Forces to against Khmer-Krom Farmers
Krobao (Tinh Bien) District, An Giang Province, Vietnam – On September 8, 2009, the Vietnamese authority summoned Khmer-Krom farmers to meet the Vietnamese authority representatives at three different temples: Sang Ke Douch temple, Om Pei Swai temple, and Pothi temple.
The Vietnamese Authority representatives told the Khmer-Krom farmers that they will continue their canal construction plan in An Cu commune, Krobao (Tinh Bien) district, Moth Chrouk (An Giang) province, which is a canal construction plan that the Khmer-Krom farmers have been peacefully protesting against it to demand the Vietnamese authority to stop digging canal on their rice fields without paying any compensation. The Vietnamese authority representatives also threatened the Khmer-Krom farmers that they will use armed forces to oppress the protesters if the Khmer-Krom farmers keep protesting.
On September 9, 2009, the Vietnamese Authority summoned three Khmer-Krom women (Neang Vann, Neang Ra, and another woman whose name is unknown) to intimidating and threatening them regarding to their participating in the peaceful protest against digging canal on their rice fields. In the same day, the Vietnamese authority sent two more digging machines to An Cu commune.
Instead of peaceful solving the issues with the Khmer-Krom farmers, the Vietnamese authority threatened that they will continue their construction plan on September 10, 2009.

- Urge the Vietnamese government to stop threatening to use armed forces against the armless Khmer-Krom farmers.
- Urge the Vietnamese government to find a peaceful solution to help Khmer-Krom Farmers to keep their rice fields to farm.
- Urge the foreign Embassies and UN Human Rights Agencies in Vietnam to ask Vietnam to respect the land rights of the Indigenous Khmer-Krom farmers.

Khmer Kampuchea Krom would you please switch your flag to reflex the flag with current Kingdom of Cambodia, this would show to world that Kampuchea Krom was a former Cambodia territory and now became Vietnam.

Khmer Krom has been wanted to join with Khmer Kandal or (Khmer PP, unfortunately they being ignored as illegal immigrant. Like Khmer's prover said, going into the river there is a crocodile and getting out of the river there is a tiger.
They have labeled us as YOUN when we want to register our name in the HUN SEN government and vice versa in Vietnam they labeled us as Khmer. So which way do you us to choose to be??

Well, and yes1 I am again but I don’t mean to cause trouble with our Khmer Kampuchea Krom, we all Khmer. However, Cambodian People Party rarely to recognize whether you are Khmer Kampuchea Krom or not because you speak Vietnamese well likes Vietnamese people. Also, Vietnamese people who visit Cambodia or to do business in Cambodia, they claim that they are Khmer Kampuchea Krom. Now WHO should us Khmer Kandal to believe? You all speak Vietnamese well, I don’t know who is who ‘Youn’. A year ago, I made an arrested one guy who stole motordup in Phum Khass, Siam Reap, he claimed he is Khmer Kampuchea Krom actually not he was Vietnamese he couldn’t speak Khmer well, the interpreter stated that he is Vietnamese. Can you see the point now, so it’s hard to recognized whether Khmer Krom or Khmer Kandal unless you know them well. And concerning the flag, please change if possible.
By the way, I work night shift here in Siam Reap, it’s hard but I enjoy it my duty is to catch drug user, rubbery etc.

Before I was like you but since I was wondering I grabbed all kind of books and information to read and know a lot more about Khmer Krom. They don't want to be in that situation and of course they were under the control at least since the 1600 or later. They don't want to be in that shoes. They were force to work in canals digging and hard/harsh labors. And came they have to have their name changes under many many YOUN's government. You know, no matter the YOUN being a commie or democracy they always find way to systematically eliminate Khmer Krom. This far, we Khmer (Kandal) should be more appreciated Khmer Krom for keeping their identity alive. When at the end of KR's regime, we Khmer had to go down to Khmer Krom and copy all kind of Buddha's book or Preah Trai bey Dok back to our Khmer Kandal.
Just to let you know the more the YOUN oppressing or suppressing Khmer Krom the more they will fight for freedom. Let alone that they have been through all kinds of oppressions they will survive and seek their statehood in near future.
East Timore and Kosovo is our prime example that inspire them to continue to fight for independent.
This is no joke, the Turk had controlled the Greece for +400 years and the Greece managed to freed themselves out of the Turk's hands. We must support Khmer Krom rather see them suffer. Khmer will united and stay behind Khmer Krom.

I've agreed with 1:26AM. They have been force to talk YOUN and dress like YOUN but there was governor Son Kuy sacrificed himself to save our Khmer cultures, traditions and religion. If we don't do that Khmer Krom now could have been gone.
