Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen may have misunderstanding regarding fugitive ex-Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra which made him plan to appoint Thaksin as economic advisor.
Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said Hun Sen should reconsider his plan and balance between the national interest of both countries and an individual.
Abhisit asked Hun Sen not to allow anybody to use him as a tool in the matter.
"I beg you, Mr Hun Sen, don't allow anybody to use you as a pawn," Abhisit told a press briefing, a few hours after Hun Sen declared he would appoint Thaksin as economic advisor.
Hun Sen also compared Thaksin to Aung San Suu Kyi of Burma, saying many people talked about Suu Kyi, so why he could not talk about Thaksin.
"I don't think Suu Kyi could be compared to Thaksin," Abhisit said.
He added that Hun Sen came to attend Asean Summit, he should make the meeting achieved.
Abhisit said the extradition is a legal judgment which needs information from both sides to prove whether it is really a political case or criminal case.
"It is a process to prove information from all parties, we shall not make any prejudgment," Prime Minister Abhisit said.

Pawn, who used Abhisit as pawn? Prem or Junta or Bhumibol?
You are right on 9:05PM.
Abhisit is a pawn of King of Coup Bhumibol and a pawn of Military Junta of Thailand. He was not an elected PM, but he came to power by robbing the majority of Thai people who voted for Thaksin.
Abhisit! Can you tell the monkey stop being monkey! Or tell a dog to stop eating SHIT?
Ah kwack is a well know pawn in Canbodia and Vietname!
Interesting political game....between the two pm, but clearly, Abhisit is more philosophical than Hun Sen. Hun Sen is good at poking around the wounds, but Abhisit's statement is very powerful a "pawn?" that is too big of a word for anyone to swallow....so, hun sen perhaps got KO from Abhisit.
Vietnamese found the best pawn ever!
Please don't play this game, Thailand internal problem is for them, no miss in Khmer oppotumity. During the Vietman war, Sihanouk played such game but now Viet over Kampuchea, no day turn back. Without Viet behind him, Hun Sen has never say that.
AH Abhisit needs to speak for himself! How did AH Abhisit came to power? It is the fact that ah Abhisit use Khmer Phear Vihear temple as his political pawn by accusing previous Thai government for giving away the temple!
4:55am,
You lied. Youn have been in Cambodia since mid 16th century with Thais, and Youn have never left Cambodia, except Thais.
You are fucking liar. When did Youn left Cambodia? Khmer leaders like the King, Gen Lon Nol..have tried to free Cambodia from Youn who were already mutated among Khmers.
Your fucking Youn propagandas can work only a few not with us who now know about Youn's intentions.
Phan Boi Chau, who was he?
Ahbulshit is ashamed of UK, he was born in UK and educated in UK but became a Thai PM chosen by the Thai junta not by the Thai people.
Ahbulshit has no shame no shame no shame at all!!!
yeah, whatever! cambodia is a sovereigned nation. let's don't forget that, ok! god bless cambodia.
