Even for rice processing mill, Cambodia has to depend on Vietnam ... what can Hun Xen's Cambodia do on its own?

Vietnam-Cambodia joint venture to boost rice shipments

Monday, October 5, 2009

VNA (Hanoi)

Vietnam and Cambodia signed an agreement on Monday to form a food processing joint venture focused on boosting Cambodian rice shipments.

Cavifoods, with a registered capital of US$8 billion, will build a rice processing mill this year and then another factory to make bread and instant noodles.

The Southern Food Corporation, one of Vietnam’s two biggest state-owned food companies, will have a stake in the Cambodia-based joint venture.

The Vietnam Food Association said last month that a joint venture with Cambodia is necessary because it would shield Vietnam from tough competition against the neighboring country in future rice exports.

Also on Monday, Five Stars International Joint Stock Company, a Ho Chi Minh City-based fertilizer producer, set up a joint venture to manufacture and distribute fertilizer in Cambodia.

Hun Sen without Yuons is nothing, Mr foreigner. You need to go back to 1977 to study more facts that was happening during that period of thime, and leading to the Yuons invasion of Cambodia. Hun Sen has NO quality to be Khmer leader. The power he has had is the stolen power. Today, as his power take roots deep and strong by the Yuons protection, he looks grant in the eyes the fools but he looks like trash in the eyes of most decent people.

If he were to get in a debate as most freedom-loving coutries do to their PM candidates, Hun Sen wouldn't last half a round, or not even five minutes if he were to be asked a tough question, or not even get a chance to be a Khum's council either.

The Vietnamization of Cambodia appears to go towards its fulfillment if not being stopped soon enough. Why doesn't Cambodia have fund to build it? Cambodia will never have fund to build anything big for the country because 2/3 of the national revenue has been stolen by this corrupted government. And plus, more than two millions a month has been extravagantly spent to feed Hun Sen's 4,000 bodyguards. The guards that protect only one dictator.

Why does Hun Sen needs that many bodyguards to protect him? It's because he clearly knows that Khmer people don't like and respect such an arrogant and ignorant idiot. This blind mad dog is scared of evrything around him; he is even scared of his own shadow.

It is sad to see that the Cambodian People always complain about Hun Sen and the Government have to do this and this.

The Vietnamese people ONLY do the Business in Cambodia which the Cambodians are disabled to do!

They even cannot produce their own soap in Cambodia and have to bring everything from Thailand, Vietnam and other countries.

So it is better to produce WITH Vietnamese in Cambodia than to get 100% from other countries.

I cannot hear it anymore when they complain about the war. Other countries like Vietnam had a war too!

Stand on your own feet!!!!

Why not build our own mill for grinding the rice? We will need to keep jobs and profit inside Cambodia. It might cost a little money to start up, but it will pay for itself with its benefit to Cambodia.

In the 60's there were five big rice mills in Maung and Prey Svay. Those mills could produce tons of 1st-grade rice and export every weeks. Now 50 years later when every sectior of business has been flourishing like mushrooms in the rainy season, Hun Sen turn to invite Vietnam to build rice mills?

I am not 8:57AM, but I can answer your question. If you lived in Prey Svay you must know that there were two big rice mills in Prey Svay, right? In the early 1970, one was closed down due to lack enough rice.

I give you a little account of myself: from 1967 to 1970 I worked as one of railroad construction workers stationed at Prey Svay. My work was to walk guarding the railroad from Kalompuk to Maung Russei in the night, sometimes from Svay Daunkeo to Kalompuk.

From 1971 to the collapse of Phnom Penh I was one of the infantry soldiers still stationed at Prey Svay camp.

Dear Poster 9:52AM.

The two rice mills in Prey Svay were built consecutively from 1966-1967.
-THe one at the east side was built by Mr Seng Cheang ( my wife'uncle ). They have to close down after his sudden death.
-The West side near Rail Station owned by a group of Prey Svay resident ( Mr Kaing ) and his friend from Maung Russey.
Those two rice mills were not modern enough to produce rice for export in these days. Each rice mill can only produce 40 tonnes for 24 hours. My father was the one who has spent the most moneys on digging the biggest water conservation in Prey Svay. Prey Svay was the last camp to be taken over by Khmer Rouge. They have fought until 24th April 1975. I have met a soldier who has survived from that fight in Minisotha, USA. I left Prey Svay for my studies in Phnom Penh from the end of 1969.
