Cambodia's health minister says a pregnant woman died from swine flu, the country's third reported fatality from the illness.

Health Minister Mam Bunheng says the 25-year-old woman went to a Phnom Penh hospital with flu-like symptoms and tested positive for swine flu.

He said doctors performed a cesarean section, and the baby was born healthy. Doctors at the hospital said the woman, who was seven months pregnant, died Tuesday, two days after the baby's birth. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to reporters.

Cambodia's second swine-flu related death, a 47-year-old man, occurred Monday at the same hospital, the minister said.

a lot of things have improved over the years in cambodia. i hope more and more people are trusting the healthcare system in cambodia. not all medical professional have bad intention, you know. of course, people should weed out the bad ones out there, i.e., one that only put money before life, really. it should be save life first, then talk about money later, ok.

sometimes i see in cambodia, it is the greedy and bad karma that seemed to goes around in circle, i hope this mentality will change in cambodia as well. most times, it not just gov't irresponsibility, it is also individuals' irresponsibility as well. so, do look at the situation on a case by case basis as this is a smart and clever way to do, really. it seems like common sense, but many people, due to some kind of personal ambition or distraction or what have you, seem to overlook the simple thing, really. let's hope all will change for the sake of building good society and better country system, really. god bless cambodia.

again, it goes to say two wrongs don't make it right! i way i see it, in cambodia, some people are taking advantage of the chaotic situation just before more good laws are implemented. so, what we might see are the corrupted system of the past, however, if we are talking about immediate future, they maybe be different by now. so, to say that the same people are still corrupt is like being uneducated and ignorant for not seeing changes and so on. of course, many people are corrupted, given the opportunity, however to say to same of today when compare to say 5 or 10 or so years ago, is ludicrous and a failure of one's own misconception or misunderstand or ignorance or whatever you want to call it, really. i hope people are seeing the present situation and just because something did happen 10 years ago, doesn't mean it continue to happen today. in critical thinking 101, they caught us not to think illogically like this. as an educated person, we all have to strive to think logically and case by case basis, and not to assume all is guilty just because they have you have not, etc... thank you.
