SRP-NA Press Release Statement in the Appeal Case of Mrs. Mu Sochua

Source: SRP North America

10/28/2009
IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE

The Sam Rainsy Party of North America (SRP-NA) is not at all surprised to see the Cambodian appeal court ruled in favor of its ruler, Prime Minister Hun Sen. It has not been the first, nor the last in a series of the country court's ruling against all critics of its government.

While the court could have used the opportunity to exert its power and judicial independency, it has unfortunately chosen to resign to either the government pressure and/or its own incompetency in reading the law concerning the case.

The Cambodian courts have proved to be completely indebt in its own interpretation of the law, particularly when it comes to constitutional rights of any critics of the Cambodian government. In this case, the courts have merely functioned as a legal biased entity, in favor of the government's argument.

MP Mu Sochua's basic rights and dignity, along with other critics have been violated, once again in favor of the country's most powerful person. In this case, the prime minister of the country who could say or do no wrongs, in any event.

We call on international community and donors' countries to help ensure independency of Cambodia's justice system in order to protect human rights and dignities across the nation.

"We call on international community and donors' countries to help ensure independency of Cambodia's justice system in order to protect human rights and dignities across the nation"

HOW?

By asking them to impose economic sanctions like Sam Ransy did some years ago?

Why one should be surprised by the Phnom Penh court's decision when one knows this court's been established just to complete the Hun Sen government judicial branch? It's a biased court favoring injustice to please the dictator. There is no such a thing as JUSTICE in Cambodia under the Hun Sen's rule. He was and is still a savage Khmer Rouge.

My beloved 9:38PM!

Yes, indeed, SamRaisy did repeatedly ask the donor countries to impose economic sanction against SenVarman. Unashamedly and radically speaking it might be obviously worked, if only SamRaisy's cowardic and sorried ass did not go back and join with SenVarman in order to get the donor money.

This was SamSainsy's word..
"This is not for me, but for my beloved country and people!",

This was SenVarman's word...
"Hun Sen ain't going to die, if the donor country ain't give money!"

Sam Rainsy will continue to cry like baby as he has done so far instead of courageously challenging Hun Sen like a true leader. If Sam Rainsy wants a life insurance, he should not be in politics. Leave other candidate run the opposition.

Who will the Economic Sanction hurt most?

The difference between Hun Sen and Sam Rainsy is that Hun Sen knows when to seek and apply ideas from his advisers. Sam Rainsy thinks he's the best but at the same time is very affraid someone better than him take his job. That's why he is known for not being a good listener, and never wants to open up the party. How can he win ?

The underlying assumption is that she had a viable defense to her alleged defamatory statement. The defense to defamation, is that which was uttered to a third party was truthful. Since it was not truthful she had no defense to the charge and lost her case. The courts should be applauded for applying the law correctly in the face pressure from groups choosing to characterize this a oppression on one individual.

all my beloved friends above, you are all right. Poor us, Sam Rainsy is a bastard while Hun Sen is asshole!

Dear all,
Through the years we know that human struggle and supplication won't help our cause! let's quit asking those bastards countries in the west to help us as they are after their interest as well!
There are 2 things that we could do:
1. As Puth Tomneay said, China li kompi sveng rok neak mean bonn! thus it meant that if all else fell, which it is, then we need to form a struggle an alliance and seeks help from China to back us up and if it doesn't work then option # 2
2. Seek divine help, the power of prayers is very important. why not set a day time for all of us inside and outside of Cambodia to pray for divine assistance to influence the current government to start thinking of the nation of the people and if they don't they we will pray for their removal.
I think option # 2 is easier as it's free - why not try it

Sanction is a measure to get wrongdoer to acknowledge and accept consequences then changes behaviour with adressing issues.
It also applied in buddhism, simply ignore to bad practictioner until he/she accept wrongdoing committed.

Collective process is another to promote change for better.
Change will occur by any mean,ie change in KR, in Republican 1975.
Difficulty is to assess the growth vs damage against time, a gragh of change can be plotted mathematically.

Be reminded that change is a natural phenomena, to how it will occur as it would arrive in due course.

As it hurts cambodians because PM himself and associates were not affected, that why SRP changed its course. In mamy ways, SRP's attempts have persuaded changes in cambodia.

For whatever happened, any doer will get the blame due to failure against circumstancial outcomes.
Judgement can be made based on merit and ability to implement any measure set out.
King father also accepts the blame for his style of management and trust that he placed upon.Depressed of such failure that possibly he expressed in his communique for he wishes his spirit not moving away after death.

Best is to promote ourselve with morality/Ethics for better practice in both oneself and management others.
Developed countries have applied Ethics in code of conducts to any profession sucessfully.

I am a Buddhist. Please man, stop preaching that again. There is no such a thing as Puth Tumneay as you claim. It doesn't matter how long or devinely you pray, there won't any help. We should face the truth, not an illusion.

Hun Sen please call upon all political leaders to come and work together as a team or otherwise other nations will take advantage of our nation. Please, help each other out. Outsiders are waiting to get their hand on our men, women and children. Please think carefully, we must come together and promote unity love, compassion and by using all medias across our country. Hun Sen has hit Cambodian nation where it hurts by placing incompetent judges on the benches. So, they can follow him in every sense of the word. Hun Sen and as well as....many of his supporters know that Judicial independency is one of the elements, and is playing a crucial role in Democracy. But because some of the old farted people are in the Government positions...Hun Sen included....that is why, Cambodia is a "KISS ASS" society. The GAP between the useless rich and vulnerable poor are so wide....! Hopefully, some of the Feudal old farts died off...until then Cambodia is still at the mercy of Viet. Cong....!
