After arriving in Thailand last week, the Cambodian prime minister said he was willing to grant asylum to former Thai premier Thaksin Shinawatra.
The prime minister said he considers Thaksin a victim of a political ploy in Thailand, but Thai protesters disagreed.
[Chaiwat Sinsuwong, People’s Alliance for Democracy]:
"The former Prime Minister is charged with corruption, the charge is not political. So, we, as Thais, are upset that he (Hun Sen) was a guest in Thailand and he spoke with a bad manner. So, today we are gathering here to show our dissent and condemn Cambodia, Hun Sen only."
Chaiwat is a leader of Thailand's People Alliance for Democracy, also known as PAD. It was the PAD who took to the streets of Bangkok and led a military coup in 2006, which forced Thaksin out of the country on corruption charges.
The Cambodian prime minister has also compared Thaksin to Burmese democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, a comparison that angered protesters.

"It is very inappropriate to compare Suu Kyi with Thaksin. Aung San Suu Kyi is too clean to be compared to dirty Thaksin."
The relationship between Thailand and Cambodia has deteriorated in the past few years. Last year, relations between the two countries worsened… when Cambodia registered a 12th century Khmer empire temple with UNESCO… that sits on a disputed border with Thailand.

Chaiwat Sinsuwong and his gang, the PAD are criminals. They took protest to the street that le to the military coup of former PM Thaksin. He and Kasit should be in jail for the crime they committed.
Hun xen as not as bad as Abhishit. He said what he mean and he mean what he said. Thaksin is his friend. True friend help each other in bad time. Not like
your bad ass thai prime minister. He looks good out side, but insecure and deceive inside. You think Hun xen is from the jungle,but not like your prime minister who went to school in the shopping mall. That is the reason why your country is such a mess these days.
Hun Sen doesn't think Thasin Corrupt,and He thinks not a big deal with him because Hun Sen maybe corrupt too,but no case file like Thasin ! Thasin has case in court,but not Hun Sen!

Please organize more protest against Hun Sen (not against cambodian). Please PAD help khmer people to ousted Hun Sen from the PM seat.
Thai PM please use the interpole police to extradict Thaksin out from Cambodia, and PAD please help cambodian to overthrow Hun Sen from power. Without Hun Sen the ASEAN countries will have a lasting peace and harmony in the region.

Congrat. Hun Sen decision to accept Takshin, it is meanining ful for cambodia to solve Border disputes... hun sen must say like that to confront with lawless /flip-flop thailand....
