Let celebrate this day together in your home, family, community and the nation.
We are conscientiously reminded the arriving of 18th Anniversary of Paris Peace Accord for the Peace Settlement, National Reconciliation and Unification of all divided fractions in Cambodia, and the introducing of liberal democracy, liberal economy and the respect of human rights to Cambodia. This 23rd day of October has importantly brought the navy of Cambodia to what it is today. However, debates and arguments are still happening everywhere to questioning the incumbent government on how they have conformed with the statement, inscriptions and signatory agreement they have undertaken in the articles of Paris Peace Accord? Few significant recommendations come to our mind as following:
- Incumbent government has been proudly legitimizing its power in both national and international stage in the past, present and future because of its endowments of the Paris Peace Accord happened in the 23rd of October 1991. No question to be asked to the incumbent government about its full legitimacy provided by the Paris Peace Agreement. Anyone in the government who dare to oppose the importance of Paris Peace Agreement, those persons absolutely deny themselves in the first place like a fool fish that deny to swim in the water. As we are Cambodians who love peace, national reconciliation and sustainable development would like to suggest incumbent government to accept the reality and celebrate the Paris Peace Agreement as the foundation of their legitimate power and collective development.
- Cambodian people and Cambodian communities everywhere around the world should celebrate this very important day by gathering in small, medium or large group to intuitively commemorate this day. Whenever we recognize this important day, it makes us feel good about national unity, national sovereignty, national reconciliation, trauma healing, justice of the Khmer Rouge tribunal and the strengthening of rule of law etc.
- Current international aides, Khmer Rouge tribunal, stability and economic development (roads, bridges, schools etc) are mushrooming in Cambodia because of, at least, from the legacy of Paris Peace Agreement.

Thank you KY for alerting us of this very significant day to glorify by cambodians in the country and abroad.
This day represents unity of all political factions to adopt and take a new step forwards for cambodia peace and prosperity.
International communities and cambodians and her compatriots agreed on one thing, and that is our national constitution.
The constitution is binding us from all walks of life, and that we all are oblight to uphold and fullfil. On this ground alone, the international signatories are clearly behind us.
This day 23 october 2009 and onward, we will celebrate and to be proud of.
Let's celebrate at home, joint group of friends, communities, in cambodia and abroad.

I am personaly, would like to join The October 23rd celebration...I really agree with the title and all the detail above.
Paris Pease Accord is the only first path which have led Cambodia to settle new democratic system at least a bit eventhought now we are stuggling...

Perhaps, only you and I are reluctant to agree with most folks in here for the fact that if we agree, we seem to let Hun Sen and his comrades go free. Hun Sen's and his comrades' criminal case is too huge to be ignored. They are the destryers of the Khmer nation. With Hun Sen, their families, and his comrades in power, the future of Cambodia and her people will hinder from being prosperous, and never perceive what freedom, social justice, and democrcy taste like.

How can anyone celebrate? I guess we as a people are just too selfish. We only look out for number one. Our country is definitely not self-reliant. Foreign aids keep us afloat.
The government is corrupted, and the people are also prone to corruption. We got old generations with their backwards thinking, and the younger generations stabbing and shooting each other,while illegal aliens and foreigners run amok. I just want to slap both the old and the young together.
Fuck those damn Khmer US citizens who got themselves deported. Your bad influences also came with you. What is with those fake gangster accent anyways? You guys are the same people who were hired to be bodyguards and assassins because you can't adapt to khmer life. If I were a hitman, I'd kill you guys for free. Don't blame the media, blame yourself for the lifestyle you chosen. Those with mental problems because of heroin or cocaine, do us a favor and kill yourself. How many more khmer singers and human rights workers will be kill at your master's order? Instead of being children of god, they rather be children of Hun Sen.
