Oman, Cambodia establish diplomatic ties

NEW YORK -- The Sultanate and Cambodia yesterday signed a joint communiqué to establish diplomatic ties between them at the level of non-resident ambassadors.

The statement, signed at the Omani delegation's permanent premises here, was inked by Fu'ad bin Mubarakal Hinai, the Sultanate's Permanent Representative in New York, and Se Kosal, Ambassador of Cambodia and its permanent representative.

Did anyone know what are the reason the tie is linked? Oil and Rice?

It's still a mystery, but one thing we know for sure that many Khmer Islam or Khmer-Cham are so poor and need attention.

middle eastern countries are oil-rich. good for cambodia to have diplomatic liason with them, yes!
