Over a hundred houses in Roeusey Keo district in Phnom Penh were fired on Thursday under strong wind season that was hitting Cambodia from the north direction to south.
"We have not known the cause of the fire yet and we did not know the amount of damage," Touch Naroath, Police chief of Phnom Penh told reporters at the scene, adding that "no casualty was caused yet."
"We are investigating the cause of fire," he said.
He also appealed to local people to be careful for their houses and property and should turn off the light and cooking gas when they left home.

That's Cambodia government conspiracy. Communist tactics to ouste khmer from the area, so they can steal that area sold to yuon.

I don't mind if the fire burns down those rich corrupted people houses, becuse they are stealing from the country property...
Because money the Cambodia authority forgot the plan how to build a house in safety. So when it has fire all firefighter cannot find the way to go in for help.
Every house should have fire alarms, smoke alarms detector, carbonoxide alarms detector, specially in phnom penh city...
majority of people dont even have enough to eat beside few crooks cpp officers and its bande so leave alone alarme alach

hmmmm.....they don't want lost theire house. why everyone here said without think too much.. khmer like that but not need your money to build their house also. you just to read why need to complain what kind your everyone here? i think if you are people should have more polite if you are khmer .......if you are not khmer should not complian too much
khmer life have alive not by you or by someone support them .they are very hard working ;we should have feel sorry about the house which they lost ....I am khmer i whould said ( regreful about this problme)
