The government has no plan to close border checkpoints with Cambodia as they are also trading areas for people of both countries, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said on Tuesday morning.
“As I am in charge of national security, I will do my best to ensure that Thai people living along the border can continue their daily lives as normal,” Mr Suthep said, adding that he will also protect the country’s sovereignty.
The deputy premier said he had no idea whether ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra had arrived in Phnom Penh, but if he ever learns he is there he would ask his Cambodian counterpart to approve the fugitive politician's extradition.
Mr Suthep said he believed Thaksin wants to use Cambodia as a political base to hurt Thailand. He hoped Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen would not allow that to happen.
He said he had made no decision yet on whether to contact Mr Hun Sen directly on the matter.

Suthep and Adbishit, why don't you go ahead to close the border as you threaten Cambodia? If you do so the people in provinces along Cambodian border and business people who do their business in Cambodia will kill you. Stupid guys!

Thailand change their minds again? first they said, they will close the border, now change their fucken minds again...? Thailand always flip flop! just like PM Hun Sen used to called them...Signed with hands, and then erased with their Foots after that...!!
Well, some of you people calling PM Hun Sen an uneducated person, but i think he's not really dumb as you all used to called him, some people has spent life time in school and still dumb!...right? Bill Gate, Microsoft Chairman did not finish School, but he's real smart...some people just borns with smart brains...i think..?
Sure, Hun Sen is smart but he's smart at eliminating his khmer opponents. As of now we don't know how many khmers he killed during his tenure as Khmer Rouge. But what we do know is 16 demonstrators were killed when he ordered his bodyguards to throw grenade at them, and 100's if not 1000's of Ranaridth supporters were killed execution style when he stage the coup in 1997. To me, Hun Sen is smart at commiting crimes against his own people only.
