Meanwhile, the Patriotic Thais Club today submitted a letter to the prime minister at Parliament, urging the government to launch serious measures against and stop giving any aid to Cambodia.

The group then lodged a petition with the Cambodian embassy in Bangkok, demanding that the Cambodian government issue an apology and withdraw troops from the Preah Vihear Temple within three days.
The prime minister vows to peacefully settle conflicts with Cambodia, particularly concerning the recent controversial statement by the Cambodian prime minister.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva stressed that the government will make efforts to settle any conflicts with Cambodia in a peaceful manner, keeping in mind the nation's territorial rights.

Abhisit's explanation came in response to the question by appointed senator Kamnoon Sittisaman during today's Senate meeting.

The prime minister said Deputy Prime Minister in charge of national security Suthep Thaugsuban has clarified various issues, particularly inaccurate information, with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Cambodian ambassador to Bangkok.

Abhisit expressed belief that the conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia would not get out of hand.

The prime minister went on to say that in the parliamentary meeting next week, the government will review the minute of the meeting of the Thai-Cambodian Joint Commission on land border demarcation.

He noted that the minute will be considered according to procedure as stipulated by Section 190 of the Constitution.

Meanwhile, Abhisit said he does not oppose setting up a joint parliamentary committee to handle the review as proposed by Kamnoon.

Regarding the demarcation of the Thai-Cambodian border, Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya said the Thai government is trying to hold bilateral talks with Cambodia.

He added that he does not object to requests by archaeologists to join inspection trips across the border.

Kasit revealed that, so far, the government has been able to plant 48 out of 73 markers to demarcate the border.

Meanwhile, the Patriotic Thais Club today submitted a letter to the prime minister at Parliament, urging the government to launch serious measures against and stop giving any aid to Cambodia.

I think this extremist Thai group is out of their mind. These people are the root cause of all problems. Their voice should be kept at the minimal. Whatever they think is just unworkable and you know for sure it will fuel the animosity ever more... If you listen to their message is reasonable but you listen to their demand is just disaster and that proof the intend. That's Thai people extremist! Will their government buy i? We'll wait and see...

To Abullshit,

If you don't minimize or limit these clowns you will face war of words with our Somdej HUN SEN again soon.

It is should be another way around that Khmer PMs express the apologize and withdraw of your Thai troops out of Khmer's land.

To all fellow Khmer,

I think we are strong enough to stand up for our own. We don't need YOUN & Thai at all. We are not week!
We have Korean comes in to invest. We have China help us upgrade our military in all fields.

So I hope HUN SEN will think more for the unity of Khmer to be strong. And stop label one another this and that.

It is time for us to be UNITED to protect our lands. A couple weeks ago I'm really proud of Sam Rainsy that pulled out all those YOUN's illegal posts or border marks that planted in our farmer's land. This wasn't right. Thanks for his action. It is doesn't matter whose CPP or SRP, we all have the duty to protect our soils. We must inform the world about this action by the YOUN.

KhmerPP,

Sam Rainsy has done the right thing. He was just there at the right time. Of course the CPP's government should be responsible for this. But like you said, everyone Khmer has the duty to protect our lands not just Sam Raisny. CPP should be more proactive in this matter.

We will give back everything China wants as it's better to give to China than give to Vietnam or Thai and in case you were not aware of: Vietnam is in the verge of owning us! it's not a matter of what we give it's rather a matter of what we owed to Vietnam at this time! you have any other questions?

Dear: Readers,

I am Khmer , I need to protect our soil ,like monk of Mam Somamdo too. I need to support Mam Somamdo to help our khmer people and defend our land. We stand up to help our people and to feed our people who live a long line border to protect our land. Please don't do like leader whom has one eye can not see far a way from his wife's underwear. I love all khmer people who would help and protect our land. I hate people who sucks khmer blood, I am against the monks who have fancy cars and bodyguards.

11:56 AM Agree with you. As an educated person, you need to use your brain and see the real reality.
Not all of us can go or live on the border but we still love our country included you.
Mr. Hun Sen the PM of Cambodia have his own straight view and look far into the future, how we protect our love Khmer country.
It was not easy him, but he still send his own children to the West Point military academy in the US, because he wanted, his children have a better opportunaty and able to learn how to protect our country.
Please don't think every from us can go to the West Point. You need to have very good referents, be good in personality with body, brain & mind.
