I thought Cambodia practices the policy of not interferring internal issue of neighboring countries? Are we a step closer to loose our independent and sovereignty?
It is a choice for HUN SEN between a forest and a tree. He sacrificed for the whole forest for only one tree. He sacrified Cambodia and Cambodian for his own family and now he sacrified good neigbhour with Thailand for his eternal friend Thaksin.
The law meens nothing to Hun Sen as long as he can control the army.

Surin Pitsuwan is Thai. Did he mean it has caused anxiety in Thailand instead of ASEAN? What goes around comes around. This is thai karma from tortures and injuries that they have inflicted to female Khmer refugees.

Well, of course, it will definately impact the ASEAN association as both countries are members of the organization. One simple and easy thing that it is suggested is to review the cause of problem. WHO started the first flame of problem? Cambodia? - no. Thailand? Yes. And why thailand did it. Becuase the internal conflict of politics in thailand with currently led government, which has been supported by the Yellow shirt to illegaly form the government, by using many forms and means internally and externally; including the use of Cambodian's internationally recognized Preah Vihear temple by the ICJ while it was registered as the World Heritage in Jul7 2008. The government and its yellow shirt people had sent the troops to the border and from then had built up the troop gradually by using the Cambodian belonged Preah Vihear temple as hostage. Since then war of words between the two countries have been exchanged almost everyday even led to some skirmishes along the border. And any incidents happened, Cambodia was in autonomous and self-defence implied to the UN and International Laws. Now the war of diplomatic is starting which my lead to the war of polictics in the near future. As common Khmer citizen, i have been watching and following-up carefully and curiously about this tension. Cambodian government had done the right direction and had even suggested to its thai counterpart that Cambodia will use all the existing mechanisms to nogtiate and solve border disptutes, but thailand itself has played into a political game and having childish behaviour. Once it said that it will bring the border issue to the ASEAN, and once Cambodia cofirmed the agreement, thailand sid not and will continue to use bilateral means.. It is now suggested that it is time to bring up the issue to ASEAN, and other internalation oragnizations; including UN council in order to avoid the civil war. It is really smelling the flame now while the diplomatic relationship is being downgraded... Thing will be developed from worse to worsest if any interventions will not met.
