Fugitive ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra said in his Twitter page early Friday morning that he would like to invite Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to taste camel meat in Dubai so he could gain more understanding about things.
Thaksin was responding to his supporters’ concern that he would face more difficulties after Mr Abhisit had recently visited Qatar and could have asked for cooperation to pressure other countries in the Middle East to extradite the fugitive politician to Thailand.
“The government should stop bothering other countries [about me]. Mr Abhisit should also find time to visit all other member countries of the Asean because it’s a tradition,” Thaksin said.
The former premier insisted that he did not have a foreign passport in the name Takki Shinegra as claimed by the Foreign Ministry.
Thaksin said he will disappear for a while as he has to visit several countries, but will try to talk to supporters through his Twitter page.
