Cambodians, be prepared: More land evictions coming up for Viet investments

"Currently, Vietnamese businesses are working on big mining projects in Cambodia"
A conference to promote Vietnam’s investment in Cambodia will be held in Hanoi on December 26, the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) announced in Hanoi on December 21.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen will co-chair the conference, said MPI Deputy Minister Do Huy Dong.

At the event, Cambodian officials will introduce their royal government’s foreign investment attraction strategy and incentives to foreign investors, including those from Vietnam.

The business communities of the two countries will share experiences and work out measures to promote cooperation in investment.

Vietnam has invested in 63 projects in Cambodia, with a total registered capitalization of more than US$900 million. In 2009 alone, Vietnamese businesses poured over US$400 million into Cambodia.

Vietnamese-invested projects have proved efficient in Cambodia, mostly in forestry, agriculture, mining, telecommunications, banking and insurance industries.

Currently, Vietnamese businesses are working on big mining projects in Cambodia.

All Cambodians,

It will be too late to liberate Cambodia from invasion of Vietnam if Cambodians don't stand unitedly from now.

Vietnam has been actively involved in every aspect of Cambodia's politics. Once, this country pushed Cambodia into a killing field. Now, guess, what will happen?

Be clear, friends, if every Cambodian is not standing to defense their country from this pacific war waged by Vietnam, Cambodians will be called an ethnic group living in their own land, like Khmer Krom now. It's so painful!

Which side ? China or USA ?
Vietnameses hate China, they will be with USA. Of course, Hun Sen will be with USA.
Who with China ?
Year 1970 comes back.

I actually don't blame the government of Vietnam for its attempts to subjugate Cambodia, but I wonder why the Hun Sen's government is not clever. There are lots of educated Cambodians who are genuinely patriotic. To be wise, Hun Sen should be open to all constructive feedback from those who tell him the truth, not to those who tell him "good, good" in exchange for position, right? Mr. Hun Sen, if I were you, I would fire (not only demote) someone who flatter me. Flattering is like pushing you to the grave, believe me.

Is it a new form of colonization? Traditional colization, they sent troop and administration to conque another country. But now you do not need to do that. You can colonize from a distance. You can colonize by using economic means. Before Youn sent troop to take land. But now they send business people to do business in a form of land concession for 90 years (two generations). By then Khmer children will forget and think it is Vietname land.

You are right. How about the top leaders in the government?

Listen bosses, if you guys don't think VN is not conquering your country secretly, the soul of your Cambodian ancestors will curse you. However, if you care about your motherland but you cannot do anything for fear that you will lose your jobs, please don't obstruct the patriotic Cambodians who always fight to save the country.

Khmers cannot govern ourselves (look at how many died during KR regime).
We are better off being yuon slaves.
Are you with me? We are slaves but at least the Khmer race survives to serve our yuon masters. Is that so bad? The black slaves in America was treated worse than the yuons are treating us.

A Khmer slave

But to be Youn's slave is also heartbreaking, man. You know, the Khmer Krom suffers to the paramount for being persecuted by the Youn's authority.

You do not have to be Youn's slave if you can eliminate that stupid Hun Sen and his corrupted cronies. The problem is not the Youn, but it is Hun Sen who allows Youn to take Cambodia.
