The Foreign Ministry has filed a police complaint against Jatuporn Promphan and two other leaders of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) accusing them of making public a confidential official document.

Chavanond Intarakomalsut, secretary to Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya, said the complaint was filed with the Crime Suppression Division police on Wednesday. The two others named in the complaint are Nathawut Saikua and Kobkaew Pikulthong.

Mr Chavanond said the three had defamed and caused damage to the Foreign Ministry by making public a confidential internal document assessing the situation concerning Cambodia and former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

The document had been misrepresented by Mr Jatuporn, he said.

Mr Chavanond said the Foreign Ministry was considering whether to take similar action against fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra for putting the document on his Twitter webpage.

In a similar action, Watchara Phetthong, a Democrat Party MP for Bangkok, on Thursday filed a complaint with Nang Lerng police against Mr Jatuporn and Veera Musikhapong, another UDD leader, for allegedly violating Articles 123 and 124 of the Criminal Code by revealing a classified Foreign Ministry document.

Hun Sen plays a very complicated political game with Thailand. Let Thais fight against each others. He is not stupid and he also gets good entourage around him.
