Prime minister Hun Xen warned Cambodians living along the Cambodian-Thai border not to enter Thailand to cut down trees or undertake illegal activities in order to avoid being arrested or shot by Thai soldiers. In a speech given during the inauguration of the construction site for National Road 68 in Oddar Meanchey province, next to the Thai border, Hun Xen declared that, recently, 3 Cambodians who crossed into Thailand were arrested and sentenced, while others were shot and killed on the spot by Thai soldiers. Hun Xen asked them that, whatever they do, they should stay within Cambodian territories, and they should never cross into Thailand. Hun Xen also warned armed troops and Cambodians from entering Thai territories. Hun Xen also said that: “We will not allow Thai soldiers and civilians to enter into our territories either.”

People can farms or raising livestocks, and do other works inside cambodia, wait until thing settle down and then, you can go to look for works in Thailand, after it safe to do so...

Well all I have to say about those who decide to cross into Thailand, you must prepared the consequences by the Thai soldiers like getting arrested, beat up or getting shot. You know dam well that they dont like us. Why dont you just carry a weapon with you? You know the Thai soldier doesn't have mercy on you. You might as well prepare to fight back so you can have chance to escape back to your village and if you don't...you will end up getting kill by them. You've to be smart and vigelance about it. Btw I'm not try sound smart but I used to live at the border and I witnessed the Thai soldiers beat up Khmer refugee. I did the same thing like Khmer villager illegally crossed inside their territory but the only thing is I was prepared for that consequences. Don't go in there with empty handed and expect to come back.

I understand your advice but cambodia is the kingdom of wonder! That's why many khmers became beggers after 30 years of Hun Sen leadership.

Hun Sen develop cambodia Rural area well, if people have job and are paid well, then NO one want to leave Cambodia to Thailand or Vietnam or any other countries seeking work.
If you fixed your corruption and start enforcement and build proper taxation and i'm sure the opposition will support this will see Cambodia less dependent on it neighbours.
