Khmer Krom requests Hun Xen to discuss grievances with Nong Duc Manh

On December 16, 2009, KKC Executive Director Hon. Thach Setha, Phnom Penh Councilman-elect (SRP) and former Senator of the Kingdom of Cambodia (SRP), wrote a letter to Prime Minister Hun Sen to raise Khmer Krom issues with the visiting communist Vietnam's Secretary General Nong Duc Manh on Dec. 17 - 19 in Phnom Penh.

The following grievances were raised:
  1. Land grabbing
  2. Khmer schools
  3. Khmer Theravada Buddhism
  4. Freedom of Assembly, threat on Khmer Krom monks and people
  5. Forced assimilation of Khmer nationals as Vietnamese
Please note that the same letter is also written to the presidents of the National Assembly and Senate.

Why do you ask robber to find robber? He is not going to find for you. Hun Sen dare not raise the issue. He is a dog to Hanoi. He is only strong with Khmer farmers with empty hands.

We don't think HUN SEN has the gut to discuss those topics with his master.just wonder how HUN SEN felt when yuons are allowed freely to roam while khmer krom were oppressed by yuons.

Most Khmer Krom always insult Hun Sen that Youn's puppet, why you are shameless sent the letter to ask him for helpin ?

Khmer Krom should talk to Vietnam's government or find the way helping yourself rather than use Hun Sen's hand to help you.

Mr. Thach Setha is the President of the Khmer Krom community, sure knew well what he wanted.
As Khmer or Cambodian born, we better support Mr. Setha idea.
