Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said the government wanted the Thai-Cambodian diplomatic relations improved but it could not disregard the country's sovereignty and pride.
"I admit that the Thai-Cambodian ties have not been smooth but the government must prevent it from troubling public members from the two countries," Mr Abhisit said during his weekly broadcast on Sunday.
In response to criticisms that the government was using diplomatic measures against Cambodia, the prime minister said calling back the Thai ambassador to Phnom Penh was a very light one.
"Taking a diplomatic measure is better than using other methods as they may affect the trade situation and lead to clashes along the border area," he said. "I also feel sorry that some Thai people have laid out more conditions and given certain information to Cambodia, causing the Cambodian leader to continuously criticise the Thai government."
He said if the Cambodian government revised different issues surrounding the Thai-Cambodian row, the Thai government was willing to consider sending back its ambassador to Phnom Penh.
The government has no policy to resort to violence against its neighbouring countries, and also has no policy to intervene in their politics, he said.

Sorry Thais, we don't have the same grassroots and we were able to live without Thai. Remembered Kingdom of Khmer is now more than 4.000 years and not 700 years old.

Abhisit builds mistrust in his government. What in a world can he build on with mistrust. Just look at the Vietnamese, they have been very successfully taking advantage of Khmer. Now they are working to dominate the Cambodian economy and politics. I am very fearful this country will control Cambodia... Also it is not good to have one country next to hold so much power in our country... Anyone in their right minds would worry... Right now we are putting a lot of eggs in one basket. Remember, diversification is the better policy... Too much of one thing is not good for you.
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva please cutoff diplomatic relations with Cambodia for good is better, which had been broke since 1961.

sorry thais, we don't wanna cement a friendship with thais because thai people love looking down upon khmer. and so, we are all khmer have to unite and help drive yuon government (Hun Sen) away from our country. we can not stand to watch Vea (Hun Sen) destroy our nation any more.

Thailand think they are more better than Cambodia by showing the world that they are more civilize and more democracy but in other hand Thailand is more worse than Cambodia in term of politics, civilize and democracy. They think by having this stupid young PM that held education from Oxford, England can lead Thailand to be better but it is just showing the world that this guy is more racist that Hitler.
Abhishit is the most stupid then young HUN SEN when he was just a Khmer Rouge junior officer.

Khmer is just got out from a dark cloud that covered itself for almost 30 years now it is seem that Khmer is more mature then Thailand in term of politics, civilize and democracy. When I meant by civilize is this way, we never pull out gun to shoot Thai people on the border and never burnt Thai's kid on the border and never shoot Thai people and fabricated or covered the story by saying the theft or drug trafficker.
