Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and Foreign Affairs Minister Kasit Piromya should send a letter to thank the Cambodian government for seeking a royal pardon to Sivarak Chutiphong, the Thai engineer who was sentenced to seven years in prison for spying, Puea Thai spokesman Jirayu Huangsap said on Saturday.
“Mr Abhisit and Mr Kasit should phone to Hun Sen to thank him on helping the Thai engineer be released”, Mr Jirayu said, adding that the government should not consider the release as an achievement of the opposition party.
Meanwhile, Puea Thai MP for Bangkok Karun Hosakul called on the army to refrain from using double standards against an army specialist Maj Gen Kattiya Sawasdipol.
The MP was responding to the move by the army to suspend Maj Gen Kattiya, widely known as Seh Daeng, for traveling to see deposed prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra in Cambodia on Nov 13 without seeking permission to take leave from the army.
She Daeng also allegedly made defamatory remarks about army chief Anupong Paojinda in an interview with the media.
“If the double standards were used against Maj Gen Kattiya, it would clearly show that the army has taken side”, Mr Karun said.

Khmer people need to be open minded, just try to follow the Australian way of life, everyone will be ok. Just try to treat each other as equally important, e.g. try to create a welfare system to protect the poor, creating jobs to the young, putting new infrastures such as roads, housings, schools, hospital and universities etc. No one in this world can help us, only the gov't of its own can. yuons kill Khmer in the name of khmers, commit crimes against khmer in the name of khmer, insult khmer in the name of khmer. Vomit its own illness and foolishness in the name of Khmers.
Khmers are mostly being killed one after other from one generation to other because they always stand against yuon crimes, yuon hated, yuon animosities and refuse to serve yuons as cpp or khmer rouge did. While yuons and its killing tools took Cambodia in 17 April 1975, they almost exterminated all Khmer to be replaced by yuon race. Although yuon cant kill all of them. As long as one Khmer still alive, he/she will always stand against yuon hated and atrocities.

You accused everybody as Hun Sen haters and not wanting to unite for a betterment of Khmer as a whole. But ther are reasons behind it. First of all is not a Khmer leader and never will. He got to be where he's at because he is willing to do whatever the viet told him to do. For that Viet installed him into power as a puppet in 1979 during a viet invasion of Cambodia. He remain in power today because he serves viet interest in the expend of khmer people. For example, he signed border treaty with viet. Hun Sen is basically a viet dog who is so intoxicated in power and willing to do anything to keep it. For me, I don't hate Hun Sen for he is just a pagoda boy who exposed to very little education. But what I'm against is his attitude and his poor decision making that cause millions of Khmer people suffer. No one in their right mind that still care for Khmer national interest could be united with Hun Sen. To me, to united with Hun Sen is like to give up and hand Cambodia to the viet.
