A village chief has gone into hiding following the shooting death of an opposition activist in Prey Veng province, a Sam Rainsy Party member said Wednesday.
The opposition activist, Boo Born, was allegedly shot dead by Ros Voeun, the chief of Tanal village, in the province’s Sithor Kandal district, located near the victim's home in Prasad village.
“The village chief shot the activist,” said Chea Poch, an SRP National Assembly lawmaker for Prey Veng. “I have to react for the proper action, because in the village of Prasad, the opposition won in the last election.”
Boo Born was allegedly shot and killed Nov. 28 while fishing with his nephew in a rice field near the village. The motive, and whether it was political, remains unclear.
Police spokesman Keat Chantharith said he had not heard of the shooting, but added that police would investigate any killing, whether it happened to an opposition activist or not.

If they are truely want to arrest the village chief, I don't think he can hide. CPP authority is good at arresting opposition member.

I can bet CPP is helping his get away. He probably in Vietname by now.
Ok he ran away. How about his house? His family? His relative? Torture them all including his pets! Forget the law. They never care why should the citizens.
This systematical method for morder was organised by CPP clan (Former Khmer Rouge) and this method was teached by Viet. Before 1970 I have never heard this case in Cambodia but after 1970 such case was used every where in Cambodia. In Pol Pot regime we had 2-3 classes:
a) class 1 = fighter KR
b) class 2 = people after 1975
c) class 3 = dead list people
comparing now is
a) class 1 = Viet people and CPP
b) class 2 = people from
Thailand after 1993 and opposition
c) class 3 = dead list people and opposition
That is the fact for Cambodia today.
It was obvious that bitch Ros Voeun was going to make a run for it after this. Too bad he is less than a man to take responsibility for his crime, but its no surprise anyway, all CPP are bitch, they act strong and kill but are afraid of death.
The victim family should go after this idiot killer's family. Kill them all and burn down their house. Don't have mercy on CPP members. They did a lot of bad things to our people and oppositions. Don't just talk, but act with arm to revenge.
The people who work for CPP came to the US and declare that No 1 inch of land lost to Youn.
BUT THOUSAND OF KILOMETER OF LAND LOST TO YOUN, NOT AN INCH.
They also claimed that no Vietnamese people live in Cambodia. Those who live in Cambodia are those who used to live there before 1970.

BUT, KHMER KROM HAVE BEEN TORTURED BY VIETCONG NOWADAY AND VIETCONG NEVER CARE TO PROTECT THEM. THANK TO HO CHI MINH WHO TRY TO ELIMINATE KHMER KROM FROM THE MAP.
We shall live and stand up together to fight the aggressors like Ho Chi Minh, Hun Sen, and his followers.
