Dear Respectfull Ven. Hok Sovann,

Technically, CPP represents their own political party. But because of their majority in the government, they also represent Cambodia. What H.E. Sam Rainsy did at the border was beyond the educated people imagination. It was wrong, wrong........., and all he got was "Cheyyo Anh". It was almost what he said there if he were drunk or under of some kinds of influence. It's so.....................stupid for an educated leader like him to do things like that, and he should know better.

With my full respect to your comment on this article.

CPP MPs are working for puppet one eye leader they are not working for our people. All CPP MPs brains are being eaten by Yuon termites. CPP MPs can not think which good, which bad for our people. please in 2013, all people must change one eye leader. Our people don't need handicap leader. Our people need healthy, smart leader, protect our land and help our people. NO NEED ONE EYE LEADER GRABS OUR LAND FOR YUON. FROM:RETH

11:22AM,
sO,in your opinion ,you think SAM RAINSY should report to the govt first right?.You must be very naive or out of touch with the reality in Cambodia.Evidence has shown the land owners did talk to the authority and what the answer was ;" no debate, your land has been giving away to yuon ".

What nationality are you?

Please look at the video during our friend Sam Rainsy's visit at the border at:

http//tinyurl.com/yhwf289 and http//tinyurl.com/ufmakb5

Rainsy was under the influence of "Cheyyo Anh!" in the video.

Oh by the way, I am "Ah Kaun Neak Sre neou Srok Khmer", and never go to school.

Ven. Hok Sovann I respect you as a budhist monk, but I think budhist monk should be practicing budha thought in temple. I believe it is wrong for you as a monk to get involve in politic. Ven. Hok Sovann please follow the rule of budhist monk.

I think a lot of people missed or overlooked the point Ven. Hok Sovann put forth here - either they didn't read or did not know how to read Khmer and comment only through the English headline.

What the venerable appropriately observed and reflected on this article regard very little or none at all to the Rainsy incident at the border.

He talked about the failure of ruling senators to appropriately carry out their duty as elected representatives. Instead of working to improve on laws, debate it, or contribute any personal opinion - the CPP members are only at the assembly to vote for CPP.

I don't know who went technical up there about technically these CPP "represent their own party", but you forgot that "technically" if we are to believe that Khmer people's vote really did count, these members were first representative of the people who vote for them as thus it is their responsibility to visit and hear the people's concern and find a way to introduce those concerns into the government - through input into the laws and debate of the laws in congress if necessary, even if that might mean it might go against party politic. But no, the Venerable was very accurate. Like the Ven. I too follow video politic in the national assembly and I am very disappointed by the lack of articulation or the hopeless apathy of these senators during session. They only raise hand and vote.

This is a great waste of national resource! These member get pay $35 U.s dollar per hour being in the meeting. We vote for them to get pay to do nothing but vote for their party! They can't even think by themselves!

And to Mr. Meas Thes, I disagree with you on the Ven.'s right to opinion. As monks are enlighten gurus of society, they should not be selfish and dig a hole out of reality by practicing laws of Dharma for selfish ends to reach a nirvana for oneself.

You cannot reach nirvana by being athma niyum or selfishness. Having compassion, pity, metta and kuruna, a monk must enlighten the people of social harms that they accept in order to help wake people up to a better social consciousness and new level of moral achievement.

In spirit of new year,
Happy new year to all Khmer. May the CPP change their ways for sake of Khmer.

The world already knows that there are TWO Cambodia's: One is CPP Cambodia, the other one is the Cambodia for the rest of the Cambodian folks. CPPers are the predators, the ordinary folks are the preys.

One simple question for you "when Vietnam can take and totally control Cambodia, where the monks can live and where the monks can build the temple?"

You are idiot to say thing like this to serve the benefit of Vietnam. You are intoxicated by Vietnam's propaganda now.

12:48 PM,
You are dumb. Ven Hok Sovann is an ordinary person. He understand that won't become enlightened in this life nor his next life. Patriotism belong to everyone regardless of his status, unless puppets that patriotism hates.

Hi posters,
This NEW YEAR 2010 will bring us good luck.

Can we all change our barbaric attitudes and be rational posters like 1:32 PM and KY .... who write without cursing?

About Ven. Hok Sovann who expressed his concerns for his homeland is nothing wrong. There are no written in Buddha's scriptions or Buddha's Gospel saying Monks cannot express their concerns to politicians who destroy the society.

If Mr or Mrs or Miss mesthea@yahoo.com can find the declaration in Buddha's Gospel saying "No Monks allowed to speak or criticize the politicians who lead the societies to hell, then show me, please".
