Svay Pak, Phnom Penh – In the evening of 03 January 2010, inside the Heng Meng Huy ice factory located along National Road No. 5, in Svay Pak village (also known as Phnom Penh’s red lantern district), Svay Pak commune, Russey Keo district, a celebration was held to commemorate 07 January, the day of the second birth. The festivity was presided by General Ek Somrith Dy, the personal advisor of Hun Xen and deputy army chief of staff, Ly Son, the CPP MP from Kampong Speu province, as well as local officials and several other CPP party members.
Kong Kim Heng, the ice factory owner, declated that the reason he held this celebration was in gratitude and to thank the CPP leaders, because without these leaders toppling the KR regime (KI-Media note: Wasn’t it the Vietnamese army that toppled the KR regime? Too much partying in Svay Pak made the CPP supporters forget all their history?) on 07 January, he wouldn’t be here today.
Ly Son declared that 07 January is the second birth (KI-Media note: Could it be a second birth (i.e. reincarnation) for the CPP officials following a detour to the Svay Pak 7th Heaven … oops, sorry, we meant 7th January Heaven?) of our people, in particular for him and his family, because without 07 January, he wouldn’t be here. Not only that, his family wouldn’t be able to survive and the black shirts (KR soldiers) would have killed them all.

Jan 7 marks the day of CPP becoming the puppet of Vietnam and the day of Vietnam started to occupy Cambodia. Some Khmer fools congratulate the CPP for inviting Yuons to occupy our country. What kind of Khmers are they if not the dumb Khmers?

Only if you are a Khmer Rouge that you hate January 7th liberation. I don't care if the Vietnamese occupied Cambodia for a decade, as long as Khmer people survive, we can fight for our land later.
Because without toppling the KR by force, many more Khmer would continue to die under the Khmer Rouge regime. Once we are all dead, the Vietnamese just walk over to take the land.

Can anyone give a rational explanation of how benefit of 07 January celebration to Cambodia in term of national unity and national self-determination.
To celebrate this day means to imprison Cambodian people in both psychological and physical entity.
Psychologically, Cambodian people are led by those myopic people.
The patronage system and family tree have clearly embodied while 3 S in Cambodia are raised to the highest entitlement of 5 stars. Like father (S.) like son (3 S) in consolidating autocracy of the cave era in Cambodia.

Are you saying that the KR regime are Youn poppet regime? If so how come the KR hate the Viet so much and even made war with Vietnam and killed many Vietnamese civilian during their border raids!
KR are KR by themselves. Pol Pot hates Yuons to the bone. After Pol Pot took control of Cambodia, there was no Yuons'involment in the massacre. Those who say that KR collaborated with Yuons to kill the innocent Khmer are the ones who want to shift the total blame to Yuons and let the KR go unpunished. One got to see through the mentality of the KR: It was a pure revenge and hate of classes that motivated the KR to massacre Khmers.

The Viet kick the KR out because the KR made border raids and kill their civilians by the thousands.
Of course if they KR don't bother them, the Viet don't give a dam about the KR killing Cambodian. But since the stupid KR made war with the Viet, it is in the Viet national interest to kick the KR out from power. Even the US kick Sadam and Taliban out of power. This is national security interest.
