Sam Meas will be elected in the office, on the next few month, after my prediction. I urge people to support him, especially SRP if they want letter pardon from Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

He has a tough fight. His district is democratic, The last republican elected from district 5 was in 1972. There are 4 other candidate in his distict. The incumbant Niki tsonga is favoer to win. 2 other other republican and 1 independent. His main challenger is Niki Tsonga and another republican Golnik. All 10 district congressman in Mass. are White male, with only 1 female, niki tsonga who won on specials election in 2007.
So his chances of wining is slim. but its good to get recognition and effort for trying. All of you critic can say he's pro this or anti that, but the fact is that he's trying and he only have to answer to the people in his district. He needs money to run, suppoort him or not. Its history in the making for the Khmer people.
I am very happy to see a Khmer people runs for office in US.

There are only 52,000 REGISTERED REPUBLICANS in the 5th Congressional District of MA. If there is going to be a three way race, each candidate potentially will get about 17,333 votes. That means that if all the Asian Americans (Khmers, Laotian, and Hmong and Vietnamese Americans) come out, even if only 75% of them support Meas, he will outright win the Republican Primary. When Meas wins the Primary, watch out Niki Tsongas, the general election is anybody’s guess. I think Meas has a chance!
Scott Brown, the first Republican Senator, elected in special election since 1972, has brought a lot momentum to Republican candidate throughout the state. Meas had been working closely with the Brown campaign since the beginning. My source told me that Meas hired some of the people who worked on the Brown campaign.
Khmers...who do you rather have representing you and your interest in Congress? Niki Tsongas, another White person or a fellow Khmer? The Vietnamese have their Congressman, Joseph Cao. The Blacks have theirs. The Latinos have theirs. Why are you letting your hatred of the Vietnamese or Hun Sen blind you? Sam Meas
Sam has a bachelor degree in Finance from Virginia Tech, VA and has little involvement with public office. Married with two children.
Anh Cao
Anh has BS degree in Physic from Baylor University, Master degree in Philosophy from New York's Fordham University, and law degree from Layola university. Married with two children. Involved with a lot of public services.
Louisiana currently has Indian/American Mr. Jindal is a governor of that state. Jindal appointed Ahn Cao to oversee the election.
Never know Sam might win the seat. In America anything is possible if one sets his goal to do it.

We, as Cambodian Americans, should unite and be proud that a Cambodian American is even running as a candidate for Congress. We have no one to represent us, no one knows who we are, and we need some one to speak for us. Despite your views and beliefs, Mr. Sam Meas, is doing more for the community than many of you have. He should be applauded for standing up for the Khmer Community and his bravery. Many of you are uneducated and immature, you curse, you berate and you scorn, but do your research, and have more pride in where you come from.
