Please be civilized in posting your comments

Dear Readers,

We are extremely disturbed to read the vulgar language used by some of our Readers in posting their comments (such as those directed at Ms. Theary Seng). It is understandable that you may not agree with the opinion expressed in some of the articles posted here, but this does not justify the use of the vulgar language nor the contentious, false and twisted innuendo.

We are indebted to the many authors who have contributed their articles, cartoons, poems etc… for posting here and we are deeply grateful for their sharing. Just because these authors send in their articles frequently, it does not mean that they have free time on their hands, it simply means that they care enough and are willing to spend their time to share their opinion with us, in the same manner as some of you would spend time reading the postings and providing your comments.

Therefore, we once again urge all our Readers to be polite and civilized in your comments. Should you have a strong dissenting opinion to voice about an article and should you need more prominence in the display of your message, please send them to us at kiletters@gmail.com, and we would gladly post them for you, as long as they are not vulgar.

We would really appreciate your cooperation on this important issue.

Thank you,

KI-Media team

Nice stern reminder from the KI-Media Team. I think readers need to be thoughtful about what they want to discuss without resorting to pure emotion. It is only through thinking that we can get from one point to another. In addition, our view is only effective only if we are able to consider all side of an issue or whatever under the discussion. Emotion can be employed only if it supports a purpose. But since it is very subjective at all times, emotion will simply dilute a an argument and reduce its user. It is therefore recommended that people need to base a position on informed facts and logic.

Talking about self-censorship! Tell me what is going on in Cambodia right now is not vulgar enough?

now that's what i call a very civilised way of telling off a few dipsticks..

I would humbly suggest that KI-media design a new Site in a way that you can moderate comments. It's very disturbing to read some nonsense and immoral comments.

Its good to suggest the reader to be more thoughful, and i respected that. But maybe even better, to also suggest the cpp regime and supporter some too, will ya ?

Thank you

And a little less racism would be great too.

KI-Media should tell those who curse Samdech Hun Sen as well. KI-Media yourself use bad language to Monks and King and Priminister as well. Why don't you tell this to yourself as well.

Ah kbot Hun Sen? he deserved the worst vulgar in the whole world.

I don't give a fuck what language people want to use whether it formal, informal, or standard and people should have the freedom to express their true feeling and view about what matter to them the most!

The ability to say what is right and what is wrong is more important than being so called vulgar language, contentious, false and twisted innuendo.

If anyone wants to warn others not to use vulgar language, he should warn Hun Sen first. He's the leader of the country; therefore, he must behave in such a proper manner as an example.

KI you don't have to have a headache on what they wrote in the comment blog. This is ther rights, just keep them going on with their opinion, if they are pro-cpp, let them do and if they are pro-rainsy, also let them do. The doggy cpp under the yuon kantob contol are bloody hand since they were in Pol Pot regime and continue their power so far. All are forest monkey (baboo or champanzy)whch have just come from the hell.

As long as you know how to spell the people names right...I understand that you can't pronounce, but can you spell?

Based on what I have observed, KI opens the door for those who are extreme to write what we have seen today.

Here we have 3 parties: One for Sam Rainsy(SRP), Two for Hun Sen(CPP), and Three for no body(Foreign or other visitors).

It is all about SRP vs. CPP, and the posters of each party are in a defensive mode.

Since "KI" itself is not showing any professionalism at all. KI media is run by the right extremists, like adding up topics and frequently has exaggerated using its own words (like Hun Xen, King Xihamoni)to mock the Monarchists and the CPP to energize the SRP's supporters, then KI Media puts the SRP's opposition groups in a very defensive mode, then we see (Xam Rainxy and Kem Xokha) comes out.

The vulgarities are more from SRP's supporters.

And why SRP has its highly educated supporter like Theary Seng who is easily targetted by the CPP's supporters or by the 3rd partiy who may not like her eccentricities or bipolar disorder.

Eccentric or Bipolar disorder can happen to everybody and many are highly educated like Theary Seng.

She is intelligent and high eductaed woman, and she knows she will be targetted, and why does not she post any picture that look professional as she is a professional woman instead of these glamorous types (like a prostitute walking on the beach. Excuse my languages) under a tragedy article? She offers herself to be attacked. We cannot stop the billion internet users from making comments.

We all know that the corruption happens from the top (Hun Sen) to the bottom, and if KI Media at least try to be a professional Media, may be our community has less this kind of uncivilized mode.

KI Media is a Nazi Rightwing Media who escalates the fight.

I'm a 3rd party but I offer my observation to solve the problems.

KI Media appeals to posters:
"Please be civilized in posting your comments", then KI Media itself borrows the words from Islam Freedom Fighters:

"Death to those who suggest some might see our actions as Violent".

And you observer 11;59am/12.06pm said" KI Media is the NaziXtremeRightwing. But do you know the Muslim fighters borrow the extreme characters from Japanese Kamikaze (now suicide bombers) and Nazixtreme Right Wing (rise and kill all the Jews now kab Yuon again)?

I cannot wait to see Khmers to becoming radical Islams.

and that is maybe what Khmer needs 12:25AM...

Yeap ...to get rid of the YUON, 12:44 AM!

I don't oppose what means the people want to use to fight to free Cambodia, but I only offer KI Media the solutions to stop the vulgarities.

KI Media shouldn't be preaching of morality when KI Media is doing it. Enforcing the kangaroo law like Hun Sen upon others to stop corruption while he himself practice of corruption, that doe snot make sense.

If it does to KI Media then KI Media is run by the NaziXtreme Right Wing people.
Jus t try to help to solve the problems.

Jack ass 12:49 AM,

Can't compare what HUN SEN is doing and KI-Media. Re-Think, please?

Ki-media should use a better comment system where the user can bury comments that they don't like. enough dislike will hide the comments from other user. Only worthy ones will be seen.

Fuck you! You ain't professional yourself and what the hell are you talk about?

Just take a close look at your fucken writing and tell me that is one professional writing? You label Cambodian people as right extremists, eccentric, bipolar disorder, a prostitute walking on the beach...KI Media is a Nazi Rightwing Media. When you use these adjective to describe Cambodian people and do you have anything to back it up? So if your fucken writing base on assumption, speculation, and stereotype and you called that professionalism? ahhahahhah

Hey fool! If these Cambodian people are extremists and why don't you see them behave like the Muslim who go around blow thing up just to get even? It is because these Cambodian people love life, love freedom, and love happiness... but they hate so much of dictatorship, corruption, killing... victimize the innocence, the poor, the helpless ...

If you are talking about "professionalism" then you are talking about people who are expert at what they do and they do it well and they do it for money! Now tell me how many Cambodian people post their comment on KI media and get pay?

By the way there is no such thing as having privacy on the internet and it doesn't matter whether Theary Seng want to post her picture or not! And because she is a well known activist in Cambodian community there will be some reservation and admiration about her but at the same time she doesn't need to take everything to the heart. She should use any compliments and criticism in a positive way to forward in life and to outshine a fool like you!

It would be better off to leave out, eliminate the comments section. Let them just read. These guys are low in morale. The more you ask, or implore, for them to refrain their use of foul language the louder they'd bark. They are acting instinctively like the little jawawa until they got harshly grabbed by the neck. Some of these indecent commentators could be foreigners - not Khmers.

Hi Nazixtreme 9:09am,
Please be civilized in posting your comments. Is it your picture covered with Krama and hold the sign says "Death to those who suggest some might see our actions as violent"? LOL

To 10:19AM

How old are you? You can't seem to talk without resorting to using physical violence to have your way. Is this how you want to win over argument by using physical violence?

The use of physical violence remind me of King Sihanuok in 1960 "Sihanouk's police publicly humiliated Khieu by beating, undressing and photographing him in public—as Shawcross notes, "not the sort of humiliation that men forgive or forget."

You need to accept that in life the good come with the bad!

If I were King Sihanouk I will transform Cambodia to an absolute monarchy like in Thaland before 1930's. King Sihanouk didn't do much to punish those men. Because of he still had some compassion and mercy, that's why Cambodia became she is today.

KI Media, this is unbelievable! if you count the above posts, you'll find that only one or two posters are using obscenities to get their point across. Now where have all the "Choal M'ray" gone ? lol
