Personally, I could not thank you enough for taking the time to post your writings/thinkings here on KI-Media.
Evidentially, our friends praise you while our foes continue to abuse their anonimity to show off their worst ugliness yet towards us all. And yes, it could be very comforting but also very discouraging when facing these kind of realities.
As a Khmer/Cambodian, although brought up and raised in the States, I see myself no other than being Khmer. This is simply because I don't know any other way. Ms. Theary, you have shown us and given us an example of how each and everyone of us can do to help our beloved Cambodia/Khmer, regardless of our background and abilities . For that and with my safest assumption, we are grateful.
Ultimately and despite everything, we can only imagine whether all of our scholars, intellectuals, politicians can put their head together to save our homeland.

i too wish more khmer are like ms. theary. she's courageous and outrighteous so in her own rights. glad to see someone is like. i too have mostly good things to say here as i rarely critical of anyone unless they are obnoxious or something. anyway, perhaps this is a good sign for the future of cambodia when more and more young young people are educated and open their minds to learn and absorb from everyone in the world. yes, regardless, it is understandable that there is always some foes amongst us all; it is hard to please everyone, really. anyway, that shouldn't matter much really as we are not here to please anyone anyway. thank you and god bless us all and god bless cambodia.
i think everyone is contributed to our society in one way or another. now contribution doesn't necessarily be in the form of monetary, concrete action and so forth; contribution could be in the form of education, advice, an encouragement, showing that we care, compassion, condolences, show of love, making a real difference, an educator, etc, you name it. those who only expected a certain way or too demanding, etc show that they are narrow-mindedness and failed to see that there are many many ways a person/people can make contribution to our society. because they fail to see that not everyone has the ability to give money or healthy enough to be proactive due to whatever ailment they may have, etc... so, everyone can contribute in their own way as long as it's toward making a real difference, really! those of us who fail to see that is really under-educated and too strict, or too narrow-minded or worst, being ignorant,really. what does it mean to be educated? educated to me mean you can understand and see things in a different perspective despite no one is explaining everything in detail to you. now, that's more important than being told all the time, really!
i'm with ms theary. i think she pointed that out partly because some people on this blog used too much "ugly language" to put it nicely and neutrally, really! because it is an anonymosity blog, some people swear because they can get away for libel, slandering, etc. that's why ms theary said what she said, and i'm with her all the way, really!

what is so special about theary? theary might a book smart, but not street smart. you need to have both like hun sen, to govern the country. cpp supporter....
I believe that materialism alone is not complete as to what a human being is all about. Meterialism cannot quarrentee lasting happiness. Human being crave for freedom and justice in addition to basic needs such as food, clothing, medicine and shelter. In terms of materialism, it's likely that Ms. Theary has not done much. However, I strongly believe what Ms. Seng has done is to pave a way for people to understand their rights and freedom as human being. We, Cambodians, have lived long enough under dictatorial leaderships and war and, as a result, some of have been prone to violence and hatred in most cases. We, Cambodians, need to restore our trust and unity so to establish love and compassion toward one another in order to live in true peace, happiness and democracy that everyone of us is craving for.

Be realistic and use your good brain for good reason.
Miss Theary Seng did different level and way to help to rebuild our Country Cambodia and the Khmer society.
We as Khmer citizen are only able to support the Cambodian government and only the Cambodian authority has the right to build schools. Build the Buddhist Temples is also the responsibility of the local community.
I had seen people always have a different opinion that is normal. Some are bad or worse and some are good. Pick the good one that can improve our Khmer's nation and trash the bad one inside the trash can and walk away do not keep it in your mind or brain. Life always good if you know how to make it good for yourself plus our MOTHERLAND. May GOD bless the GOOD Khmer. DC.USA

My volunteer advice is that you shouldn't live your life to worry about the critics. There are black and white and there are go with you and go against you in our global society. If you believe in a democratic society, then here you got it, unless you believe in a despotic system (dictatorship).
Furtheremore, billion internet users, some are against and some are with you, and you cannot make everyone happy.
You can ask the internet users to be rational people but you can't force them to be ones.
The important thing is how Theary Seng wants her message be heard by the Khmer people and by foreigners who visit this blog, whether or not some who disbelieved what she said, she should just ignore it.
Theary Seng wants to be known and it is nothing to build from a scratch to be known for the future political career purposes, and as she may have known, that when she pursues that route to be a politician or supports one party, she gets to be firm that her opponents will attack her and if she has some conflict e.g., private life that they knew about, be sure she will be attacked. Just look ar all American politicians, and at least look at Pres. Bill Clinton or Sen. John Edward, a President Candidate. Their opponents dragged them down like dropping bombs.
Remember "the object of war is not to destroy the enemy's tanks but to destroy his will", Mark Steyn.

It is unbelievable. There are always a few people have negative comments on any topic. This kind of attitude exists currently in most every levels of Cambodian government today. They are only themselves better than others. They act as they know everything and others cannot compare to them. But yet, they cannot face the reality. The cannot accept a critic. It is just an unfortunate that our homeland has too many these kind of people.

First of all, KI Media has created a space for all the readers to express their opinion, whether which perspective of society they come from. Some have provided a constructive input for our society. Few have awaken our thoughts regarding the condition we are in.
Each of us has responsibility and duty to fulfill the way to development of this world. All what individual do is not more important than the others. Neither a builder is not the one who builds one beautiful whole house nor the designer, engineer. Theary may be one of those people who plays one of important roles. However, her role should not be comparable to the others. It should be regarded as part of the whole. It must be praiseworthy for all.

Theary Seng is nothing more than SELFSERVING! We Khmer do not need her to lecture us about using our language. Our species is pretty almost extinct because of the land grabbing by Viet and Siam, and every single days our people are killed by the Thai and youne and yet Theary Seng lecture us about using language!
If Theary Seng still has that job, she does not have the time to lecture internet users how to use the proper languages or have time to advertise herself in KI. We hope she will get a job soon and leave billion internet users to express themselves.
